I'd also really like to hear about anybody's experiences interviewing at CLS. Any advice or insight would be valuable.

The majority of those accepted didn't interview doesn't contradict with that the majority of interviewees get in. Although I have no data as solid evidence.CA1993 wrote:Word of mouth/acceptance info Columbia was a school where the majority of those accepted didn't interview (unlike Harvard) - I was wondering if an interview means they're pretty much on the fence.MrJD2020 wrote:I hope not.CA1993 wrote:Are interview requests seen as being fairly negative sign considering columbia doesn't usually interview?I hope so. Anyway, Interview gives you a second chance to market yourself. It should never been taken as a bad sign. Do you want an interview or a WL/ding, "if you are on the fence".

LSAT = median, GPA > 75th, complete in October, interview in early December, and silence since then....feel like my application is just lost in a void somewhere

Re: Columbia c/o 2020 applicants (2016-2017)
Reserve is waitlist. I applied last year (reapplicant) and was on Reserve until August 20th. They basically have 3 rounds. Last year was end of May, End of July, End of August - Reserve 1,2,3. At each they admit a few people, reject some, and then ask the rest if they want to wait.premalone wrote:brinicolec wrote:Also in the Reserve group.Mr_Chukes wrote:With you on this. I was placed on the Reserve Group.2000andBeyond wrote:Just got an email that I was put on "reserve" until May? Is that the same as the waitlist??? Thanks.
Time stamp 3:50 pm EST (2 mins ago)
Exact wording: "We wish to inform you that, after careful deliberation, our Admissions Committee has
decided to postpone making a final decision on your candidacy, and we are placing your
application in our Reserve group."
Not sure what it means lol.
Same here. Not super surprising, but I wish I knew whether or not this was a waitlist.

Wow, late interview. I haven't gotten one. I'm paranoid that their emails just don't go through to me lol
The anxiety in me is telling me that they are waiting to ding.

Anybody know if there are multiple waitlist rounds? Or is it rolling like admissions?

No, because CLS couldn't beat SLS even when their medians were 172 and 170, respectively.wheathins wrote:Has anyone w/ LSAT above median (172) been wait-listed or put on reserve? Cheer up! I was put on reserve several years ago. Didn't do LOCI. Anyways, my understanding is that the reserve group is HUGE.
By the way, since CLS and HLS have same median LSAT, you guys think CLS could be #2 or 3 soon?

Also in the reserve group. The email offered a link to send a LOCI, but does anyone know if there is a specific way to send in an additional LOR? Should I just email it to the general admissions email? I wasn't sure if additional LORs are encouraged.

Is there a consensus on whether Columbia stopped interviewing?
Aka if I went complete 1/5 and never got an interview request, am I toast?
