Been sitting at UR since I submitted in early November ... no updates since. Seems yesterday there was some waitlists released for students in a similar position. Fair to expect the unfortunate news soon?

Same... Submitted 11/3 and been under review since then.

maybe best case scenario is they want to have the december test scores on file before making a judgment

I mean my GPA is above 75th percentile and LSAT is right at median but I was thinking that they would want to raise their medians with the increase in applicants...

I was also planning on taking the LSAT in December but ended up cancelling so that might be another reason (maybe... haha)

Consensus seems to be why law, why UVA, a couple questions about you/your resume and a stump speech at the end

Is a stump speech the same as an elevator pitch? Basically just saying why they should let you in?

Arguably a stump speech and elevator pitch are radically different things and the UVA question being referred to is far more akin to an elevator pitch.

But yeah, just have a couple canned sentences on why you're great.

Nope. My numbers are very similar to yours.

ETA: That seems presumptuous and I certainly can't say my numbers are YP for sure. Just saying they are similar to yours, texasellewoods.

it's all good, I got into NYU the day before which eased the blow, but it was still a bummer :/ and yeah, I interviewed exactly a week before they gave me the decision, thought it went really well because at the end she kept saying what a great convo it was and how I would be hearing "VERY soon" so who knows haha

Do you remember when you submitted/went complete? Still got nothing but silence on my end

I submitted mid-november, I don't remember when it went complete but my first UR date was 11/23
