Speaking of which. This just highlights me being older, but the high school kids I work with just introduced me to the meme "on fleek."

And I kinda want to say it all of the time now.
That's how fun things die.

I was explaining to them that all of the words and phrases they giggle over and think they created are just passed down from countless generations of high school kids before them.

Then they proved me wrong.
Not at all. Eye brows on fleek is descended from "on point." In cartoons, a sharp point can be indicated by a character flicking a pointy needle and viewers hearing the sound "fleek, fleek."

It makes sense considering eyebrows can be sculpted to appear pointy (see above discussion).
I am going to use this explanation verbatim at our session tomorrow.

Dude. We're talking about eyebrows now.

JK. In the past they've done batches pretty close to the half hour or hour. So in 20, 50, or 80 minutes is the best bet to check.

I assume there will be at least one more batch today, but who knows?

I just got my email a minute ago, but due to the wave I checked the status checker earlier and knew about it beforehand.

hahah half!! good guess - no one ever guesses correctly.
Totally random... I'm half persian too--and use to think that made me unique growing up in the Midwest and all. I guess we really are a over-represented minority. lol

Original complete mid November with an early December date change. NU is hands down my top choice but I feel like it's not going to be good news at this point.

I always say things like your "tossed into lake Michigan" comment in jest, but I honestly wonder if they've somehow lost our applications...
