Spivey wrote a blog post suggesting that this was going to be a good year for WL admits. This is also nice to read, Slack.slackademic wrote:Just a reminder that the waitlist means you're still in the game. I have some very good friends here who got in off the waitlist. If you're serious about Duke, make sure to let them know.
Sorry to everyone who was recently dinged, congrats to all those accepted, and good luck to those still waiting and those who have been waitlisted.
Now, with that said, here's to hoping that I don't actually get waitlisted

wow, great to know. thanks! i can stop this obsessive checking nowNoDayButToday wrote:Thanks!AceDeuces wrote: Here you are http://spiveyconsulting.com/blog/
Good luck to those with "decision made." I would advise keeping yourself very busy and not waiting around for the email. The day I heard, my status changed on the checker around 4 PM (or that's when I noticed it, in any case, after still UR2 earlier that day), but it took until about 1:15 AM for my email to arrive and it came to my spam folder, which seems to have happened to others, too. So, it could still be a few hours.

Re: Duke c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
Ugh, I'm still under UR2 right now, which is frustrating -- though, obviously I'm aware that there are people who have been waiting longer than I have. Should I assume I'm basically on an unofficial hold since I went UR2 before some of the people who got bad news yesterday and those who got a "decision made" update today? My condolences to everyone who got bad news today.
Does anyone have an idea of what this might mean -- if anything -- for those of us who went UR2 before 2/18 but didn't hear anything today? I went UR2 2/17 and I'm trying really hard not to get my hopes up about this.
Oh, also, good luck to those of you who are waiting for your emails tonight!

I'm kind of surprised that nobody seems to have heard yet. Hopefully they're all out celebrating their acceptances!

Don't worry! You're the most qualified applicant in the room. And when you're on the street—depending on the street—I bet you are definitely in the top three!

Yeah, you could be a part-time applicant. But you'd probably still have to keep your normal job...

Same. Is this worrisome or standard procedure for Duke?
