I'm just gonna assume it will be a couple weeks at minimum, and anything before then would be an act of god/amazing surprise.

What do you guys think is the latest JS1 that could still yield a JS2 before the end of the year?

What's the deal with font size? I know it says 11 point minimum, but is this a "if you must" kind of deal? Or does everyone generally use 11 point (this question goes for other schools at well)

I only used size 11 so it would fit in two pages. Doesn't seem like they held it against me.za51 wrote:What's the deal with font size? I know it says 11 point minimum, but is this a "if you must" kind of deal? Or does everyone generally use 11 point (this question goes for other schools at well)

Don't think too hard about it. I would just do 11 point if you need it to fit and 12 if it doesn't make a difference (for all schools).za51 wrote:What's the deal with font size? Does getting a JS1 mean that your LSAT/GPA are considered acceptable by HLS? I'm wondering what the chances are of a low LSAT applicant getting a JS2 after having a JS1. Last year it looked like 2/3 of JS1s got JS2s.. should we expect the same this year? It might be too early to tell since it seems as though the addition of interviewers has changed the game, but any info or thoughts would be appreciated.

It's hard to say what it means exactly. It could be a formality for some (above both 75ths), a tie-breaker for others (splitters), or even a "this person is unlikely to get in but seems interesting lets take a gamble" thing as well.somuchwaiting wrote:Does getting a JS1 mean that your LSAT/GPA are considered acceptable by HLS? The important thing is that you need an interview to get in and 3,800 applicants will not get said interview. They liked you enough to take it to the next stage, so it's certainly a good thing. If your GPA/LSAT + soft combo were completely out of the question you would not have a JS1, so you certainly have a shot. The thing we can't answer is how "well" you need to do at your JS1 if you're not an auto admit.

If you get an interview, it means they are really interested in your app and they want to see if you will fit in in the coming class.

For what it's worth, I always use 11pt. It seems more professional than 'high school/college essay' 12pt.za51 wrote:What's the deal with font size? Last year, someone with a 12/12 JS1 got their JS2 before the end of the year.illyria wrote:jingosaur wrote:What do you guys think is the latest JS1 that could still yield a JS2 before the end of the year?

Not really a K-JD then!
I took a year off after HS to work full time, but I got the K-JD treatment in my interview. I'm hoping it isn't too much of a detriment.
