Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Lavitz, I'd like to thank you so much for all your help on this thread. I know that this thread has been instrumental in getting me where I am. Now, the anxiety starts as I try to determine how this cycle will play out and the timing (if at all) of a JS2.

Given my lack of JS2, and Sabanist's recent reception of one, I can only assume this theory was true. Boy did I screw up.teiswei wrote:lol and she was on the line hearing all of Elshal's screaming.sabanist wrote:I was at work, so no screaming allowed. I usually only get free cruise ship calls from Washington numbers, so this one was new.Mr. Elshal wrote: The same thing happened to me like two hours ago. ETA the screaming was actually really therapeutic
Maybe it's JS testing our fortitude?
Hope you language was clean, sir.

Is the recent trend Monday calls for JS1's from the previous week? Loosing my sanity here...

I think there are interviews scheduled for all of T,W, TH this coming week, so I’d guess that the two days for JS2s would be M and F. But who knows – JS was interviewing Friday, and yet put out the JS2s that afternoon.Anonymous4444 wrote:no one knows.....Starships wrote:Is the recent trend Monday calls for JS1's from the previous week? Also, LSAC is down for maintenance until 2 PM, which might explain why you can’t access the status checker.

JS1s also scheduled for Monday as I know someone who is interviewing then. Could be the first time my school places two people into Harvard grad school ever! (though he graduated two years ago and I am K-JD)

I thought I recalled Wednesday and Friday being the interview-free days.

That very well could be; I think I may have mixed up M and W's schedules. In any case, I think there are two days free this week, F being one of them. But who can divine the secrets of their mysterious ways - well, besides Lavitz.sabanist wrote:I thought I recalled Wednesday and Friday being the interview-free days.

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
FYI: there are 259 applicants registered on LSN. only 33 (12.7%) have reported being accepted to Harvard. according to the aba, last year's acceptance rate was 15.9%. this means that early applicants who haven't heard back yet may still get good news in the upcoming weeks/months. don't lose hope!
(kudos to regulus for doing similar calculations in the NYU thread and giving me the idea to look at harvard's LSN data.)

I don't know if I should love you for giving me hope or hate you for driving me mad. All in all, I saw your work in the NYU thread, and whether I decide to love or hate you, I admire that you were able to do that and I appreciate that you took the initiative. Thanks!vzapana wrote:FYI: there are 259 applicants registered on LSN. only 33 (12.7%) have reported being accepted to Harvard. according to the aba, last year's acceptance rate was 15.9%. this means that early applicants who haven't back yet may still get good news in the upcoming weeks/months. don't lose hope!

Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
i saw that number and others on http://schools.lawschoolnumbers.com . but those numbers are flawed because they include applicants who selected "intend to apply" on their profile pages. if you go into each individual school page and count the applicants registered as having already submitted applications ("pending," "accepted," "rejected," etc.), you get the numbers i used in my calculations. hope this helps!leebs2 wrote:According to the following link there is 351 applicants....how are you pulling your data?vzapana wrote:FYI: there are 259 applicants registered on LSN. only 33 (12.7%) have reported being accepted to Harvard. according to the aba, last year's acceptance rate was 15.9%. this means that early applicants who haven't heard back yet may still get good news in the upcoming weeks/months. don't lose hope!

Out of sheer will-power (aka procrastination), I looked into it and his story checks out. NEVER HAPPENED. Just like how I turn off Casino Royale when they're on that speedboat in Venice. Re: Harvard c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
And according to Regulus's nifty chart, about 24% of applicants who had their info on LSN were accepted to Harvard last year. Which means there might be room for another ~30 of us. Plus, there's a trend toward higher admit rates and applications are down again this year...vzapana wrote:FYI: there are 259 applicants registered on LSN. only 33 (12.7%) have reported being accepted to Harvard. according to the aba, last year's acceptance rate was 15.9%. this means that early applicants who haven't heard back yet may still get good news in the upcoming weeks/months. don't lose hope!
