Congratulations everyone on the KB2s!!! I'm a long-time lurker and first-time poster and couldn't resist posting any longer (I can't tell you what comfort I receive from knowing people are similarly situated). I had my KB1 last Wednesday (9 min., I felt it went quite well). However, I am dismayed that I didn't receive a KB2 today. Could KB be sitting on my app until the next round of applicants submit? Or should I continue to obsessively check my email and status? Any encouragement would be very appreciated!

There seems to have been a bunch of us with sort of borderline numbers who were passed over today. I count at least 4 (including us two) in this thread, and possibly more. I'm hoping that since a bunch of people didn't get KB2's yet, hopefully there will be another round tomorrow or early next week. It seems sometimes there are a couple of waves before she gets to everyone from the most recent KB1 batch. Don't lose hope!!

I went complete last Thursday...is there any hope of hearing something before KB breaks for the holidays?

Congrats to all the new KB2s!!! She's probably done doing KB1s until after Christmas right? Is that the consensus?

Thanks freestallion! I knew this forum would help calm my nerves. Seems like I'll choose not to study in the quiet rooms again today, for fear of screaming ecstatically when a call from Cambridge comes. Or perhaps I'm jinxing it and ought to? At least I know have TLS to vent my anxieties!

Hoping this isn't the case... it will be interesting to see though, since Christmas falls on a Sunday this year it seems like many places are taking a day or two AFTER the holidays off.

So I went UR 12/5 and I just received an email saying that my app was complete.

What's the timeline now to expect a KB1 if I'm getting one? Any chance I get one before the holiday?

Thanks in advance!

Yes. I just saw the douchiest dude from my college class sitting next to Clarence Thomas on his recent visit to YLS (I thought Thomas forswore Yale forever?). I could use a KB1 email right about now...

Am I right in saying that some people have been asked for their fall grades after their KB1s? Is this a thing? I'm kinda worried because my grades might have dropped a little this semester (nothing major, probably like a .02 overall drop).

EDIT: NVM professor just emailed me telling me I got an A for the term...phew!!! This was the class I TOTALLY did not care about because I didn't think I would get a grade. Looks like a fall grade request would actually help :)

Congrats on the A haha

FWIW I think only one person ITT has gotten the fall grades request (vincanity). I could easily have missed people tho.

Yep, I got a fall grades request. There's also one other person I know of who was asked, also.

Ok yeah I got an A on my senior essay too haha so...fall grade request will actually help. Nice.

But a straight up KB2 would be EVEN BETTER.

Complete since 10/13...Don't think an acceptance to HLS is in my future, but I"m a long shot anyway

Your numbers are better than mine and I got a KB1 this week. I think the Ivies really like those super-duper high GPAs--it shows you were basically perfect at something for four years.

Of course if I never end up getting that second call I will wish I never got the first one.

What did you guys call KB when you said hello? Director Buttenbaum? Dean Buttenbaum? Ms. Buttenbaum? Karen?

I didn't call her anything...I was just like, "Yes, HI! It's so great to speak with you" and "Have you wonderful holiday"

I think DEAN Buttenbaum is the correct term though

But she's not a dean - isn't her official title Director? But Ms. seems so casual. hrm.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
