I definitely got a letter, it was a tiny letter though. They gave me a big packet at the ASD

It was a few weeks ago so i'm not 100%, but it definitely did not come for a week or two. I'd guess 2-3 weeks.

Lol. That is sad.... because I did the same thing. I was accepted four days after I applied and was bewildered. Official letter took weeks.red_alertz wrote:lols cool, thanks, getting paranoid that I might not have been actually accepted, even called admissions to confirm but each day no snail mail each day i worry, was such a reach

They haven't done it yet. They told me it would probably be in June because they don't have any money to give out right now.gogamecocks wrote:Has anyone who didn't get money received any with the post-scholly deposit redistribution?
I haven't, so I'm hoping they haven't done it yet, and I get some soon.

It is all good, just letting you know you aren't the only one to worry about being accepted. Like I said, my letter took a bit to arrive, but don't stress, you made it.red_alertz wrote:yeah well u have better numbers and fall backs even if wake doesn't work out, i am kinda like hanging on a stringjdemmitt wrote:Lol. I don't have any fallbacks anymore. Except byu waitlist and unc (which isn't happening).

Re: Wake 2011
If byu offered me a seat before june, probably. Unc would have to give me a scholly, an airplane ride, and a home cooked lunch, so no.

Re: Wake 2011
besides the Mormon affiliation I don't know much about BYU. That being said...red_alertz wrote:what makes BYU better though?
T1 schools outside the T14 are regional, so while people try to compare UNC and Wake because they are the main NC competitors when it comes to BYU and Wake you really have to think about where you want to live/practice.

Re: Wake 2011
Byu gives me mormon discount, free rent, and free babysitting, oh and my wife has a good job. The loans I am taking out for one year of wake, would cover me for all three at byu. Plus no cross country adventure. Byu actually places really well out of state. We use our mormon connection effectively to network with mormons who didn't go to byu even. Around half of byu grads go out of state.

Well I suggest coming out here and seeing NC yourself before making any decisions.red_alertz wrote:never been to NC, applied cause on LSN it looked like Wake is one of the better schools I had a shot at and was granted fee waiver upon requestingDubPoker wrote:Have you been to NC? I love NC, but you should go to school where YOU don't mind living and working.

This is your life, if you like NC its one thing, but if you don't take a year off. Work, and reapply. I really like Wake, but your thinking paradigm seems off. You applied because its rank, and now think you have to go because you got in.red_alertz wrote:it's not like i have a choice, unless i come off a waitlist, so far i only have american and wake
At least fly out and see NC!
