11/19 -> 11/29. May have been another update in between, but I didn't bother to check over Thanksgiving break. Hopefully decisions will come out soon, the turnaround seemed pretty quick for people on LSN who have already gotten a decision (2-3 weeks from "complete" to decision).

Btw, anyone know if GULC usually notifies by email or snail mail? I would hate to have to wait for stuff to arrive through the postal system, but it would feel cool to get accepted by an actual package as opposed to an email.

It's snail mail for an acceptance, and at least the first notification is apparently not a package, but something a little bigger than a standard postcard. Odd, but I guess it's the acceptance that counts right?

I think it's just through the post. I'm 11/19 --> 11/29 as well. I'm pretty sure I had another update before 11/19, so I'm very anxiously watching the mail the next few days. I'm in DC, too, so the turnaround should be quick.

Updated to 11/30. Interviewed last week so my previous update was back in late October (when the initial interview request went out).

Also updated to 11/30. I don't know if there's any significance to it, but it seems like decisions are received usually within a few weeks of interviewing so I have my fingers crossed.

So, how long did people usually stay on their first complete date before it started moving? I'm complete at 11/18 and only submitted a bit before that so I thought that the lack of movement was no problem.

I submitted 11/14. Complete 11/18, then 11/29 I got an update.

Long time lurker, first time poster here. I just had my interview today with an alumna. It went really well; she said that she only has positive things to say about me and that she is pulling for me to get into Georgetown. But she also told me that the interview was a minor part of the admissions process but it can be helpful if they are on the fence about accept you.

Now considering calling up the admissions office tomorrow and asking to switch my app to ED, pendind fiancee's approval. Has anyone else thought about doing this, or heard of anyone doing a last minute ED switch with Gtown?

Finally caved and checked admitted students. Got an email with password It still doesn't work to log me in, but given the recent history with this phenomenon, I am well satisfied. Hooray

same exact. But im kindof doubting that just getting password and username means acceptance or anything at all. I mean if you can log in I could see that mattering but getting an invalid password??!?

I think getting the email with a user name and password is telling as far as being admitted, because when you're not in the admitted students system, you get an error message telling you they can't generate your log-in information.

it seems like every person who has checked though got the username and password. ll bet you are virtual dollar you get them if you check yours!

Yea it's probably not the most accurate method. I'm still too chicken to attempt it anyway. Instead, I'll resort to stalking the mailman on a daily basis.

You should give it try. I got updated on the 29th, tried logging in today, and didn't get anything. And I would think my stats (3.9x/170) give me a pretty decent shot of getting in. In other words, it couldn't hurt, right?

I realize that the answer to my question is buried in this 80 page and counting thread, but I'm curious how long after interviews people have been hearing back. I just did mine in the last few days after having submitted on 10/30. I'm excited to hear back and want to know how long that wait is likely to be. Also, what are the rough numbers of accept/WL/reject from the interview pool?

No. GULC is not overly giving with money, and I don't think they particularly care what GW thinks.

Feel free to provide evidence to the contrary if you have it
