Thanks so much for the advice. Any idea where we could get a map of the bus lines?reverendt wrote:With no car you want to be:warmweatherseeker wrote:I just decided at the last minute to attend Pitt for law school! 1) Near a busline
2) Near a grocery store
3) In a generally walkable neighborhood
Squirrel Hill would probably be a good place to start. Parts of Oakland are ok (generally the parts farthest from the school!)
Shadyside is nice but overpriced.

Check out their promo days and pick the best one. They have some crazy free stuff going on some days. I got a free jersey last year.northwood wrote:they are hosting the cardinals august 15-17, while its not the mets, im going to get tickets to see em. anyone down?

You can always get a free jersey and $21 tickets with a group rate. We had a 1L group thing last year that OGR3 set up, that's where I got my Clemente jersey. So far this season, I've gotten a free bobblehead and a free t-shirt... not counting the free tickets, water bottle, and hats on the prize wheel.BarbellDreams wrote:Check out their promo days and pick the best one. Yeah, they have a free Jose Tabata jersey day coming up and the bobbleheads I guess are kinda cool. Pirates really do give away free stuff all the time and Stubhub tickets are $5 for first row in the outfield.

Re: Pittsburgh 2011
The best way to attend a Pirates game is to drink in the parking lot with friends then swarm the box office as a mass. I have never paid more than 10 dollars for a ticket via this method. When you get in there, find yourself a Primanti Brothers sammich for 6 bucks and just live the life. The food is pretty reasonable but drinks are expensive (alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike). Of course, if you are a big baseball fan, you can get seats behind home plate for around 30 bucks. My friend from NYC was in awe of this.

When I was trying to figure out that stuff, they told me that we'd start getting information in June about all the forms you have to fill out for Stafford Loans. I think I spoke with Linda, and she said something about having a deadline of 90 days to accept once the forms are processed, so it sounded like there wasn't a set June 1st deadline.bport hopeful wrote:Is there a deadline tomorrow for Staffard Loans, I thought I remember someone mentioning that.

Case Western just offered me an increased scholly of 30,000 a year. Why are they trying to make my choice so difficult? I thought I was done with this shit. so confused...
