I feel like I'm almost definitely a WL at this point. Applied 10/25, still just "complete" as of 12/17. GPA between 25th and median, LSAT way above 75th. Wrote a Why Mich. Anyone knows what gives, or is it possible I'll still be accepted if it's been this long?

Have been wondering this too (about my app). But I just sorted LSN Acceptances at UofM by decision date, and there are a fair number of recent decisions for files with complete dates in October and early November. So there is hope.jrh1987 wrote:I feel like I'm almost definitely a WL at this point. Applied 10/25, still just "complete" as of 12/17. GPA between 25th and median, LSAT way above 75th. Maybe they were swamped trying to get ED files processed and ED decisions out by 12/15, and the pace of RD decisions slowed (especially on those files that went complete near the October LSAT score release)?

Does anyone else have Dean's Scholarship Award Letter "sent" in their Mail/Money section? That's the merit-based aide right?

No, but congratulations! It's cool that they're beginning to get to awards for non-Darrow folks. If you don't mind, when did you get your acceptance?baby diego wrote:Does anyone else have Dean's Scholarship Award Letter "sent" in their Mail/Money section? That's the merit-based aide right?

I got in way back in mid-Nov actually. So wait, it's not the merit based aide? What is it, exactly?

I thought it was a darrow then I was a little bummed, but I'm still happy now

I think it goes up to 23,000/yr

It's funny that there's nothing in between. Either you get one of the 10-15 Darrows 48,000/yr or you get less than half of that.

If you get invited to apply to Darrow, is it safe to assume you will get at least some merit aid? Anyone know what the job market is like in Ann Arbor? I am worried that if I go there, my husband will not be able to find a job.

and the answer is yes you are likely to get half darrow (which is just the highest amount of dean's scholly)

Really? That's very weird. I was in the first day of admitted students, and I got the merit aid package later than you? It's as if these offices don't work on a pattern deducible basis.baby diego wrote:I got in way back in mid-Nov actually. So wait, it's not the merit based aide? What is it, exactly?

Alright, so, apparently the dean's scholarship offers aren't actually being sent in the mail until January and everything saying they've been sent this week is a glitch.

This is probably a stupid question, but is the "Last Updated" date in the status checker simply today's date? Just received my status checker two days ago so just wanted to double check.
