I had some one call me a while ago, left a message with thier e-mail, telling me I could ask them questions.

I tried at least ten variations of what the student said, and none of them were her actual e-mail.

My questions were never answered.

Waste of everybodys time, imo.

Committee Review 3/2.. still no answer. How long does it usually take?? Also, when are you notified about scholarship money, if any?

What are your numbers? I didn't apply until 2/28 and they WL'd me last week. Pretty quick turnaround.

I got a call last week too. I found it to be helpful. On another note, according to Melanie Nutt, new scholarships will be awarded in the next few days if one is selected (*crossing fingers). If I get some money Wake is going to be my choice. Otherwise, Pittsburgh it is

It would be awesome though if they were able to notify people of scholarship awards in the next few days. That would be a really quick turnaround (something I'm just not used to this cycle, I guess).

Received a call from a professor 2 weeks ago. As I hadn't committed yet, I was impressed -- as no other accepted schools called me. Go Wake!!!

Has anyone heard any word on the Rose recipient yet? I don't think it's been decided/announced yet, but I just wanted to make sure. Also, do you think it'll be a general announcement or just to the individual?

No word, but I would imagine they would let us know if we didn't get it. Isn't that what they did with the Fletcher?

Oh man $$ info would be greattttt. Right now I'm going to USD cause they gave me 23k/year. If Wake get's close to that I might have to change my mind. On LSN it looks like a lot of people have turned down $$ and there were quite a few people in my number range that had 20k a year (3.0/168) Good luck guys hope they hit us up soon.

I was hoping they'd give me until April 15 (though maybe they'll extend it if/when I call back on Monday).

I've been in review since 1/8. I'm thinking about asking them to withdraw my application. It would take significant money for me to choose Wake over SMU, and it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

Well, in all fairness, April 12 is too early for me because I'm planning on visiting Indiana-Bloomington on April 13, and I don't want to decide before I visit.

As I said earlier, you're a lock for a scholly.

The Nuttster E-mailed me yesterday to say that I should know about a possible scholarship increase later this week.
Hopefully offering you a scholly means that the $$ has begun to flow.

So does the general trend seem to be that Wake is upping current scholarship offers opposed to offering entirely new scholarships to marginal candidates? I was one of the lucky recipients of the faux 30k/year scholarship and still have a very bitter view of Wake...
