My status went from "Waitlisted" to "Decision Rendered" today. I know in this thread someone said that that happened to them when they got off the waitlist. I sure hope that means the same for me. I called the school and all the info I got was that they were going to mail something to me this afternoon.

Does anyone know why else they would a) change my status and b) mail me something?

Do they mail people to tell them that they're no longer taking more people on the waitlist? Or do they mail people to reaffirm in writing that they are still on the waitlist? That would be wack.

Trying hard to not get excited over something that's going to end up being nothing.

That's what happened when my friend got off the waitlist too about three weeks ago. He received his acceptance in the mail. Sounds like you're in! Congrats.

What were you scores if you don't mind asking, for the rest of us waitlisters to get an idea.

I replied yes to both part time and full time. My numbers were 164/2.85. I sent in a supplementary letter of rec and LOCI a few weeks ago.

I just got a call from admissions and am being admitted from the wait list! Will have to talk with my husband but in a week will have to submit a deposit if I can make it.

Hopefully more are getting the same call!

Conrgrats! So it seems from some WL admits on here and LSN that USD is going after reverse splitters or those with higher gpas. Not a good trend for a splitter like me.

i'm also a diversity candidate, although non-URM. i honestly think that's why i've had such luck this cycle!

Hey all, I am a waitlisted student at San Diego, received my reconfirmation email on May 24th but haven't heard anything after that. My online status shows Waitlisted. I wanted to know what you all thought my chances are; what the reconfirmation email means. Is it just standard pratice at USD? I have been waitlisted at 8 schools (applied late) and only USD has sent me a reconfirmation email. I did vist the school the week before the reconfirmation email, had a tour, spoke to someone in admissions and turned in my 2nd LOCI.

does anyone know how loans work here? when you're awarded COL loans/tuition loans, i know that they go to USD first (they take out tuition), and then USD sends you a check for the rest. does anyone know when to expect that?
