There's a way you can view your financial aid info online through the "admitted students" section. Can't remember exactly how, but I remember that it's there.

Got in 3.1/169 but I applied pretty late, so no scholarship. Since I'm already going to Minnesota, I've already withdrawn...hopefully my spot finds someone here. From the letter, it said 20 people are applying per seat, so it's really intense. Best of luck to everyone else.

Re: UC Davis
A ratio of 20:1? Even when you take out the auto rejects, that probably still leaves in a lot of people who're WL'ed/accepted for a HIGHLY limited number of seats.Fast_Fingers wrote:Got in 3.1/169 but I applied pretty late, so no scholarship. Wish you hadn't mentioned that.
That aside, hope you enjoy Minnesota.

Dude, chill. There's no need to stress more. The more relevant ratio isn't so bad and given the recent deposit deadline, I think there's more good news to come.zeth006 wrote: A ratio of 20:1? That 20:1 ratio is per number of seats, not offers, and like every law school, Davis hands out more offers than seats. So, adjusting for the 20% increase in applications this year, one's chances of being offered a seat is more like 4:1 (assuming about 1000 offers for 4000 applicants).

Ok we should expect something by the end of this week? They know by now how many extra offers to give based on the deposit deadline...etc.

Good chance. Last year it looks like there was a bit of activity on the 20th, right after what I assume was the deposit deadline last year.PunjabiLower wrote:Ok we should expect something by the end of this week? They know by now how many extra offers to give based on the deposit deadline...etc.

It's getting late in April, so positive or negative, news should be forthcoming soon.

So Monday after the deadline, eh. Guess I'll be taking my notebook to Borders today.missinglink wrote:Good chance. As stressful as this time has been, it's nice to know that I'm not alone in the waiting process. TLS "UC Davis" thread, you have become my online family... best of luck to everyone in the, hopefully decision-filled, coming few weeks!

Re: UC Davis
There is still hope! Giving my seat up today... was hoping to get a revised financial aid offer after the seat deposit deadline to complete with my Notre Dame offer. No such luck... I have no idea what qualifies you for grants here, and I can't stand that they take my parents' info into consideration.

Good luck to all of those still waiting! I find comfort in the fact that I'm not the only one still waiting to hear from them. I'm crossing my fingers for some good news soon!

Davis is the last possible game-changer in my cycle. Too bad my status checker still reads "awaiting evaluation", since January.

You might want to e-mail them about that. I submitted by app around 1/7 went complete 1/25, and I've been "evalauation in progress" since around Valentine's Day.Modian wrote:Davis is the last possible game-changer in my cycle. Is everyone ready for the 6:00:25 pm disposition?
Based on last year, it looks like we shall get decisions all throughout this week (and the weeks to come)--no more of the Thursday/Friday only notifications.
Good luck to all still in the "Evaluation in Progress" camp.

+1 I've been awaiting evaluation since mid-February. I e-mailed them three weeks ago to add information to my application, and there didn't seem to be any hold up, so we'll see what happens.Modian wrote:Davis is the last possible game-changer in my cycle.
