real quick. I submitted the forms in Jan and got the scholly offer maybe 3 weeks later. But, I prolly sent in my paperwork early, so it could be more backed up now.Kiersten1985 wrote:Veri, how long after you submitted your financial aid stuff did BU get back to you with the scholly offer?Veritas wrote:snail mail about 2 months after acceptanceHavaianas wrote:Anyone with scholarship money - how soon after you were accepted did you find out about their offer? Re: BU! woot.
Sent BU a LOCI this morning saying I will withdraw all other applications if they accept me. I submitted my application in November, and they requested fall grades at the end of January.
I got an email from them saying they'd add the email to my file.
I really want to go to BU....I hope they let me in. Say a little prayer for me.

Got a call letting me know that I've received the Public Interest Scholarship today! Pretty exciting, though I've got to wait a few days for exact details via snail mail. Anyone else apply for / hear about the PI schol?

I did! I'm guessing that the scholarship amounts range from person to person since the website doesn't give specifics.

Did you send in your signed tax returns as well? I have finished NA and FAFSA, but just realized yesterday I need to send in these forms.Veritas wrote:real quick. Re: BU! woot.
Yay! Congrats, Apples. I'm also interested in what the scholarship will end up being, and if it will negate the earlier scholarship I was offered on admission or if, assuming they don't exceed the total cost of attendance, we get them both. I didn't think to ask this on the phone, and I actually had a pretty funny experience answering the call. I was listening to music on my when the call came, answered and couldn't figure out how to switch from earplug sound to normal sound, thus loosing any ability to hear the other speaker for a good thirty seconds after I said "Yes, this is ccs." As she was congratulating me, I was too embarrassed to ask, "Excuse me, who are you and where are you calling from again?" It wasn't until the end of the call that I realized it was BU!apples wrote:ccs224 wrote:Got a call letting me know that I've received the Public Interest Scholarship today! Great, since mine might not be ready for at least a couple more weeks and would much prefer to hear soon.Veritas wrote:No, I sent them after the offer.mikcou wrote:Crap, we need to send in signed tax returns for them to make the offer?jks289 wrote:

Yea, came in the acceptance packet. I do not know if that is a generous scholarship or the average for my numbers...does anyone have any idea?

Does BU frown upon calls inquiring about applications? I've been complete since 12/3 and just want to get an idea of where I stand in the process. Just don't want to step on any toes in doing so. Thanks

I have the same numbers and got the same offer...so there seems to be a method to the madness.BearTerritory wrote:vkw104 wrote:Congrats! Did that come with your acceptance packet?BearTerritory wrote:got scholarship....45K. 166 3.7

Did you already submit your financial aid forms, or is this purely a merit offer?therealfp wrote:I have the same numbers and got the same offer...so there seems to be a method to the madness.BearTerritory wrote:vkw104 wrote:Congrats!
