Sorry but an irrelevant question about updating the transcript.

My GPA fell from ~3.96 to ~3.94, so breaking the 3.95 "threshold." For a while I forgot about the updating requirement, but shall I send it to the schools that I am still waiting on (especially the T6) as soon as possible?

Hate to think this way but fantasizing about a tiny strategic advantage of holding the updates back a bit longer...

Wouldn't send it unless they ask you to

I must ask... what "threshold" is this?

Just checked the stats and this "threshold" is totally arbitrary...used to feel like 3.95 is a 75th or 50th percentile. Maybe it's more accurate to say I fell from the LSAC GPA 3.97 line, which is indeed the 75th percentile for Yale and Harvard lol.

I know sometimes this stuff can feel like life or death, but dropping -.02 in your GPA is inconsequential. They won't care - save yourself the stress and don't update them. They will get your updated transcripts from your institution.

Yeah I mean I had a crap first semester this year and it brought my GPA from a 3.74 to a 3.72... big whoop. Don't think it'll make a difference.

Today was probably one of the top 3 most disappointing days of my life. This must be what the Vikings feel like right now...

Imagine being the jags...

BTW, on a completely unrelated note, I used to look at people who took CCN at sticker debt and think "that's crazy..who the hell would do that?" But now that I've been accepted at Columbia w/o a scholarship I xaught myself thinking "320k... that's not so bad! I'll be a big shot Manhattan lawyer!!!" The temptation is real.

To be fair, if you're gunning for big law, it wouldn't be the worst thing ever. Congrats!!!!!

You need an acceptance, an unresolved waitlist, a waitlist-->acceptance, a waitlist-->rejection, and a straight-up rejection to get law school bingo.

I just got my first ding, which was the final decision of my cycle, and I just want to give a shoutout to LSN for being super accurate for me. I only applied to 8 schools, but I got the exact results that my research led me to expect from each of them.

Dang, good work! Congratulations on being "done." I still have easily over half of my applications pending, applied in the fall too.

You're forgetting my 3 favorite categories, the long-term hold through summer, the hold to review to hold, and radio silence all the way through summer and into the first week of 1L classes!

I got all three last cycle  but I ended up with a great cycle anyways, so don't get too caught up in the details of your own cycle! The school that placed me on hold twice waitlisted me eventually and then accepted me with a decent scholarship! And I wound up with 6 t13 acceptances in spite of the trouble some schools gave me and my not-so-prestine stats and lack of softs. It was a hell of a ride through the summer before I finally got to where I am now! Long story short, ride out the waitlists!

Tears when your manager talks about how you "can never leave" and how your manager's manager wants to have a 1:1 to talk about "waiting before going to business school". I'm disposable and I know it guys! Don't make me feel anymore guilt plz pls please.

What are people doing to keep their sanity right now? LSAT prep wasn't nearly as bad as this waiting game because I had tasks I could do to prepare myself, and then while waiting for grey day I was prepping my app materials. Now I have nothing to do except work at my job, but other than that I'm not doing anything law school related except being neurotic and it's driving me nuts.

Few people here seem to be keeping their sanity
