I would think that most of the people who don't update are people who've been rejected. I think that when you get in somewhere you kind of hang around threads and participate because you're proud and happy, and when you don't get in somewhere you're like "yo fuck that" and might not hang around even for long enough to update the spreadsheet because you'd have to look at a bunch of "ACCEPTED"s and stuff.

I'm sure that's the majority, but since all the pending are assumed to have not gotten a js2, the only relevant event is a person who got in and didn't change. As stated earlier, if 5 people pending are in that group, the percentage is above 70. That's not the majority of those people, and I think personally that it's plausible.

But I don't know, it's all just guess work

Anyone have an idea when those who were interviewed will likely hear back? I had mine this week and am anxiously wondering whether I will hear anything by the end of this month. Also, according to your new calculations, does someone with a 173+ and 3.90 have a good shot this season?

I suspect a wave today and/or tomorrow. Just a feeling; apps have been closed a full week now and I think there is an ASW in early March. According to the vast majority of previous cycles, there was a wave right around now (even during years in which the January wave was late in that month, like this year's).

Not sure if the admissions office is included in this, but campus is open today and classes aren't cancelled.
