How many more acceptances do you think will come out from Berkeley?

I just looked at last year's thread, and they only had 2 rounds of FR. Does anyone know if this is the standard for every year or if it varies? My chance at admittance goes from pretty unlikely to probably impossible sans FR as everyone with my approximate numbers who gets admitted is admitted out of FR, but I went UR right after the second round of FR started. I'm pretty bummed to see that they may not do a 3rd round as I just assumed that a 3rd FR was a thing (I'm not sure why I assumed that, but I did).

Maybe this explains why so many people 2/6 and out have just been sitting at UR1 without a FR notice, ding or accept? Does that mean the Dean just straight out decides all of those later applications or do they have a different process? It seems kind of odd.

I've also been UR since 2/6 so I called the admissions office yesterday. They told me that they originally intended on getting all the admissions decisions out by the end of February, but their plans got delayed. They said it'll probably be out in a couple days. I really hope it's today though!!!!cmkk13 wrote:pipipipi wrote:Thank you. That's very encouraging. It seems this is really a slow cycle.chandhi wrote:Probably still quite a few. Anyone going to the diversity reception tonight in Santa Monica? If so, how are you dressing? I really don't want to wear a tie ...

Anyone think attendance plays any role in the scholarship deliberation? Although the subsidy is less to visit individually, booking a fare in April (post scholarship notification) more than offsets.goldenbear2020 wrote:That's going to put a damper on ASW attendance...SmallK wrote:Late March, according to the Fin. I went last year, unless you scheduled a meeting with Financial Aid no one would even know if you were there. Super fun though and a great chance to talk to professors...mimosa brunch plus a great conversation with the death penalty clinic head was pretty much all i was looking for. But it's huge, and there's no way they're tracking who comes and who doesn't and coordinating w fin aid. It's just not organized in a way where that would make senseLHS17 wrote:Anyone think attendance plays any role in the scholarship deliberation? Anyone going to ASW? I'm coming in from NY so I'm not sure if I should stay for the weekend and enjoy Berkeley and the area. Would it be a waste to go there just for ASW?
