Did your interviewer give a timeframe for how quickly they would get their eval submitted? I had an alumni interview on 11/30 with a 3.3/169 and was told by my interviewer he would submit it within 24 hours and I got my acceptance a little over 2 weeks after that (I believe it was dated the 15th). So with things slowing down as the cycle progresses, I wouldn't be surprised if it takes 4-6 weeks after your interviewer submits their eval to hear back at this point.GrumpyYellowOgre wrote:Same here (interviewed a while ago). It was before the holidays so I suspect that the interviewer may have been delayed in submitting. Thanks for the data point! I knew I always picked Squirtle for a reason.squirtlesquad14 wrote:Did your interviewer give a timeframe for how quickly they would get their eval submitted? The snow storm also skewed timelines for everything in the DC area, they have trouble handling a light dusting of snow, let alone 20-30" of it.GrumpyYellowOgre wrote:It was before the holidays so I suspect that the interviewer may have been delayed in submitting. In the G'town spreadsheet, I see an entry for a non-URM who has been accepted with 164 and 3.7 with 2 years work experience. What am I missing?

Maybe they had incredible softs, or wrote a great essay, or had military experience, or it could be any number of things. I don't think those numbers are that far outside the realm of what Georgetown would accept.engineerlawyer1000 wrote:In the G'town spreadsheet, I see an entry for a non-URM who has been accepted with 164 and 3.7 with 2 years work experience. I got in with a 3.3 and 169, 2 years out of UG, so those numbers definitely don't seem that out of place for admits this cycle. Though I did have an alumni interview that focused a lot on my softs and my interest in BigFed work, which I'm pretty sure was a big part of my getting accepted.Navyhornguy wrote:Maybe they had incredible softs, or wrote a great essay, or had military experience, or it could be any number of things. I'm sure your LSAT score didn't hurt either.....lolsquirtlesquad14 wrote:I got in with a 3.3 and 169, 2 years out of UG, so those numbers definitely don't seem that out of place for admits this cycle. No, but my GPA did. It's all a balancing game...Georgetown seems to be relatively splitter/reverse splitter friendly as far as you aren't too far below 25% on either GPA or LSAT. My softs definitely helped explain my GPA though as I spent a lot of undergrad working outside of the classroom.Navyhornguy wrote:I'm sure your LSAT score didn't hurt either.....lolsquirtlesquad14 wrote:I got in with a 3.3 and 169, 2 years out of UG, so those numbers definitely don't seem that out of place for admits this cycle. Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
If you were "held" I would probably err on the side of waiting and only write a LOCI if you are waitlisted. If you didn't write one of the optional responses though, you could probably go ahead and write that and see if they will add it to your application before they make a decision at the end of the month.dmurd wrote:This may have been talked about, but if my decision was deferred until 2/26 should I write a LOCI and say Georgetown is my top choice?

Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
From what I've seen/heard/read, it seems like Georgetown is more partial to splitters than reverse splitters. That does make perfect sense though, considering schools like UCLA and UT Austin, which are just behind Georgetown in the rankings have 169 as their 75th percentile, while Gtown's is 168. Probably trying to boost that bracket a bit.squirtlesquad14 wrote:

I feel like most schools, at least the ones I've applied to, are favoring splitters this year. UT Austin is most certainly favoring splitters (if you check LSN, hardly anybody under the LSAT median is getting in regardless of GPA). Show us reverse splitters some love people! hahahammocklv06 wrote:From what I've seen/heard/read, it seems like Georgetown is more partial to splitters than reverse splitters. Re: Georgetown C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
FYI - the number for GULC admissions on the website is not the correct number. This is the correct number: (202) 662-9010
Also, this is the correct email: admis@law.georgetown.edu
Just a heads up. I kept trying to email the wrong address and kept calling the wrong number (which I had found on the website).

She ended up getting the letter! She's officially in! Thanks to all.CiscoDisco wrote:Hey guys,
My SO got an email saying along the lines of "I'm delighted to once again congratulate you on your admissions..." and she got her own login credentials and everything, but she did not get an actual admissions email/letter. This is the only email she has received besides the email with her login. What does this mean?

Uh, dinged today after being held and sending LOCI. Retaking the LSAT tomorrow. Waitlisted last year with a lower score and generally weaker application. Wtf?

I'm a member of the group of applicants that have been held for the end of February and I was seriously thinking about sending in an optional essay. I didn't include one with my application, and I had to turn down the interview offer because I didn't have transportation, so I'm worried they might be questioning my interest. Does anyone have ANY idea of what people have done for the "fill-in-the-box" option?? I'm a painter in my spare time and was thinking about doing something creative with it.

Someone I talked to at ASW literally made a glass-shaped wine stain and some handwritten-scrawled notes. They want you to use the space in a cool way, so go nuts.dizzylizzy wrote:I'm a member of the group of applicants that have been held for the end of February and I was seriously thinking about sending in an optional essay.
