Re: Columbia c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
I interviewed quite a while back and have had radio silence since. I can only assume that I deeply offended my interviewer with my completely nondescript choice of tie color and that Columbia is punishing me for my insolence. Just deliver the mercy blow please, I need closure

also on hold and informed 04/24. extremely frustrating. i'm thinking if we made it this long that is a good sign tho? been watching law school numbers website and looks like they have sent out alot of waitlists and rejections lately.

Any ED applicants held until April hear back yet?
Saw an earlier post about decisions being guaranteed by 4/24 for some applicants...?

Last year's thread around this time was pretty brutal for people stuck on holdrandomusername wrote:also on hold and informed 04/24. extremely frustrating. i'm thinking if we made it this long that is a good sign tho? been watching law school numbers website and looks like they have sent out alot of waitlists and rejections lately.

Yep, after nothing today, my money's on a bloodbath tomorrow. I just hope that when they said 4/24, they didn't mean they were going to put decisions in the snail mail by then. (Or, given their system so far, throw the decisions up in the air, collect a handful to email, and snail mail the rest.)Peck.173 wrote:+1Mack.Hambleton wrote:pretty sure everyones just gonna get reserved

Yeah, it looks like based on the thread last year and LSN, no one who got an answer the day of the held deadline was accepted.strugglebus wrote:Yep, after nothing today, my money's on a bloodbath tomorrow. By not accepted, do you mean everyone was WL'd, or rejected, or a mix?Bird Lawyer wrote:Yeah, it looks like based on the thread last year and LSN, no one who got an answer the day of the held deadline was accepted.strugglebus wrote:Yep, after nothing today, my money's on a bloodbath tomorrow. On LSN it looks like there was only one rejection, but I don't think she was held because she applied in March. The rest were all WL.Peck.173 wrote:By not accepted, do you mean everyone was WL'd, or rejected, or a mix?

If "by 4/24" means "dropped in a USPS mailbox on 4/24" my brain will combust. It's the last school I'm waiting to hear from. Just lemme buy that Penn sweater already!

Re: Columbia c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 cycle)
Whats the policy with financial aid grants and deferrals? I called today and they said that unless financial circumstances change, my grant would most likely be re-awarded after the deferral year, but that I would need to apply again. Seems a bit too flexible for my liking. Do you guys know anyone who has gone through this process?

Put on reserve earlier today (4/23). Complete 3/3. 172/3.4x, non-traditional, out of UG 6 years.

Well, the hold emails were sent around 5/6, so maybe we should wait until then

Someone much more courageous than me should definitely call the admissions office and ask them how the hell they decide who gets to receive their decision via email, and who is unlucky enough to have to wait for a letter in the mail.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
