That's rough, so rough. Best of luck to you.gobears!! wrote:Fourth update since being complete today. No interview request. I have been wait listed at 7 other t14 schools and would be amazed if this was more than a ding.
But an interview is not required right? I sent very thorough supplements
And from what I've read on this thread, it is possible to be accepted without an interview. That said, I don't think it's likely.

My understanding is that last year, no-interview admits started later in the cycle when they were running out of time. They got interviews started more quickly and are running them more efficiently this year, it seems, so I doubt there will be any substantial number of people who get in without one.riverwater wrote:That's rough, so rough. Are there any information out there as to how much/how to prepare for the interview?
Was it generally kind of casual? or was it intense/WHY CHICAGO/Traditional?

Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
It was fairly general for me and I got why Chicago. There were also more typical job interview questions like 'how did you deal with a situation in which you were struggling?' Not intense, but not really friendly or conversational.

Similar. Interviewed Thursday and same UR date changes as you. I thought it was pretty quick so it made me nervous.

Re: Chicago c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014)
had my interview and just wanted to throw in my .02:
pretty formal, at least compared to my interviews with northwestern and georgetown (granted those were alumni interviews). not very conversational at all. the interview thread link which was posted a few pages back is pure gold. my questions did not deviate at all from those listed there. got these questions:
-why law NOW and why chicago specifically?
-did anyone influence your decision to go to law school?
-most difficult decision (should have been more prepared for this than i was)
-how would your professors describe you? peers?
-biggest accomplishment
i asked 3-4 questions at the end, and i came in at just under 20 minutes.
