why..did you apply if you found your rejection to be inevitable?

I went complete in early October and no JS1 yet...plus talking to a guy who applied last yr with similar numbers (although very different PS and extracurriculars) who got held then waitlisted. I think it is wise to assume I am out of the running for a JS1 (at least before January).

Got a JS1 yesterday. Any JS1 veterans care to divulge your secrets? I'm pilfering through threads, but I'd love to PM somebody whose had one this cycle. Kind of incredibly excited.

Oddly enough, only November 26. Got a JS1 email the next day... I was surprised by the turnaround.

What does the LS22 index tell us?

It gives you an idea of the overall strength of your numbers according to the formula.

The "LS22" index converts GPA to an LSAT score ( 4.0 = 180, .01 = 120), adds these numbers together, to create one index number. You can compare your person index to the statistics above. Note that we currently have no idea if this is accurate or predicitive in any way, so please take this with a grain of salt

Last year most of the accepted pre-thanksgiving interviewees also received their decision pre-thanksgiving. I'm guessing many assume there will be more JS2s Monday because not only did they start earlier with interviews and later with JS2s this year, but they also have a lot people who interviewed week(s) before and haven't heard anything yet. The last interview day they gave JS2s to was 11/12.

I think it is definitely possible but the timeline makes no sense. Her boyfriend is already in before she even starts studying and you find out later that he got in off the waitlist so the LSAT she took must have been the february or June. Harvard doesn't accept the June LSAT (i don't care how good you look in a bikini) and no one can make up 36 points on the LSAT in one month (january-ish to February). So, yeah, in that case LOL @ the 143 to 179 jump.
