Wasn't really able to find any hard evidence backing it up besides taking these people's words for granted. You'll have to sift through to find the 3-4 people arguing about WUSTL.

I was admitted to ASU and they jumped from 39 to 26 between last year and this year--and needless to say, my decision just got a whole lot more difficult!!!

However, my parents have been pushing for ASU, and I kept telling myself that WashU was far better--but the rankings changes throw a wrench into what I was thinking. That's why I want the links to what BK has been reading. I saw the letter by the dean, but wanted to know if there was anything else out there. That's all.

You need to think about where you want to work. Not some ridiculously arbitrary ranking system designed to sell magazines.

Agreed. With 2 schools that feed into completely different markets, this should be the most important factor (as long as $$ isn't a huge difference).

I'm from Arizona but have spent the majority of my breaks and free time in St. Louis. And the markets are both equal in my opinion. Hence my quandary. Thanks guys.

That's waitlist all over it, but I doubt you get off. I know you've heard it, but try to retake if you can. It will depend on how many AA they get to deposit that will determine if you get off with lower numbers. I'd be making sure you have a back up plan, or take the year off and hit the test hard.

Yeah, if you have your heart set on them, you can try to wait out the waitlist, but might not get a spot for a long time, else just pick from what you got when you get your WL/Deny in a couple weeks.

Pretty sure it depends on the question (if it was applicant related or just a general inquiry). If it's a general inquiry you could call the office. Of note I received an answer to a general inquiry within 24 hours

At Wash U., my app says, "complete," so I am hoping that may mean I am being reviewed already. Doubt it, but thought I'd ask. The latest update date is for today, 3/14, but the status prompt hasn't changed in about two weeks.

Some schools have about six different status app standings....

Complete just means they have all your application material accounted for and awaiting review.

Complete just means they have all your application material accounted for and awaiting review.

Yeah, and it stays complete until they make a decision, although your date will probably change a few times. Good luck!

Multiple completes seem to mean they are looking at your application. I got my decision at like 4:45 p.m. CST the day of my fourth complete, and it never has changed since. I went like 2-2 -> 2-8 2-17 -> 2-22 Give or take a few days.
