I haven't gotten that e-mail yet. When did you receive your letter again?

12/7 update. Mine updated once right after my interview (11/28), and today. Does it mean they've made a decision?

I got my acceptance letter last Wednesday, so maybe a 1-week turnaround for the email?

Checking back in real quick, got an update for 12/5 as well Rachel. Thankfully I've been busy with finals and work so I've been generally avoiding going crazy, but I've been meaning to ask someone, was I supposed to sign up for an interview or something? I don't recall seeing that on the app, and I reviewed it through LSAC and it seems like I didn't check anything that would indicate I wouldn't want one, but I kind of vaguely remember thinking that I couldn't fly to D.C. for an interview. Maybe I didn't read well enough and opted out? Or are all applicants automatically considered? Would hate to seem like I didn't want to attend due to turning down an interview option.

they choose whether or not to offer you one. if you didn't hear anything, they aren't offering you one. that's not necessarily a good or bad thing from what i can tell.

I did not have one. My last update was 11/21 and I received my acceptance letter (dated 11/21) in the mail (in california) last thursday (12/1). My status checker still says application complete 11/21

No the process seems to be that you receive your snail mail letter accepting you, and then a week later you get an email with info about the admitted students website (which is not currently in operation but they sent the email nonetheless). i think their goal is that you find out via the snail mail letter so you can cross this off your list of things to freak out about every time your phone vibrates with a new email 8)

i just got an interview invitation after 4 completes... i don't know if i should do it or not.. i get really nervous at interviews.. aaah! they did say that the interviews are optional and non-participation won't affect my application negatively, but still...

Should i do an interview? or is it ok if i decline?!

If you decline, you probably won't get in. They only offer interviews if they aren't sure if they should accept you or not. They're either trying to learn more about you (if you're borderline) or they're gauging your interest and commitment to the school (if you're well above both medians).

Ok cool, just wanted to ensure I didn't like auto-ding myself before my app was even looked at.

people have said the interviews are really conversational and for the most part people have had seemingly good experiences. everyone gets nervous at interviews... unless you have like a diagnosed social phobia or something, in which case I am really not sure what to tell you, just drum up some confidence in yourself, put on a smile and an appropriate outfit (See earlier pages on this thread), and go for it. Just treat it like you want to know more about the school and you want to tell them why you are interested in the school (/ law school in general). I want to tell you to relax but I think that makes people less relaxed when they hear that. No matter what, stop with the self-defeating talk because it's the opposite of what you need for a successful interview either now or when you are interviewing for jobs in/after law school. good luck! :)

Had my interview today and it went quite well, I think. Assuming my interviewer sends GULC her evaluation soon, how long is the expected wait until decision time?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
