~80k. The Hamilton is full tuition, while I believe a Butler is half.tempur_three wrote:Grats! What's the difference between a Butler and Hamilton?nametaken wrote:Congrats to everyone else who heard!! I just got home to my letter and I got a Butler... So excited!!!

so has it been determined that successfully doing that one thing yesterday doesn't actually mean anything unless a VCE was also received?

I think that those who have received VCEs were able to login yesterday. There is no case, however, of any VCEs being received by those who were unable to login. I think those who were able to login probably will get VCEs; whereas those who weren't able to login might get them.JamMasterJ wrote:so has it been determined that successfully doing that one thing yesterday doesn't actually mean anything unless a VCE was also received?

My letter didn't contain any info about scholarships. Does this mean that my chances for substantial money are slim to none?

I swear being a law school applicant is like being bipolar...one minute you're incredibly sad and the next you're incredibly happy. The times in between are spent being completely neurotic....then again maybe its just me
Oh yeah i forgot the delusions of grandeur, hallucinogenic episodes and obsessive compulsive tendencies

I'll actually qualify this and say: being a law school applicant that discovers TLS. I still believe maybe the non-TLS'ers have it easier.jaded4life wrote:I swear being a law school applicant is like being bipolar...one minute you're incredibly sad and the next you're incredibly happy. January 24th. I've clearly been underestimating USPS. That has to be some sort of record.catwomangirl wrote:Mind saying when the letter was dated?aekea wrote:VCE! In the bay area so I'm shocked. Did not attempt the voldemort trick.

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
hush. there are going to be several rounds. If you compare the number of people getting in here and on LSN to NYU during the first round, it's not even close. And the schools have similar class sizes, so the numbers ought to be much closer.catwomangirl wrote:dangaekea wrote:January 24th. I've clearly been underestimating USPS. Couldn't part of that just be that Columbia is using a slower method for notifying people? We have to wait for letters to trickle in across the country, rather than everyone just getting a phone call.JamMasterJ wrote: hush. there are going to be several rounds. Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
yes, some of the people that were sent acceptances in the first round are yet to receive them, but Columbia is almost definitely going to be sending more acceptances in the next few days if they haven't already.poe wrote:Couldn't part of that just be that Columbia is using a slower method for notifying people? They're probably sending a bunch every day. They can't possibly do all their mailings at the exact same time. That would be chaos.JamMasterJ wrote:yes, some of the people that were sent acceptances in the first round are yet to receive them, but Columbia is almost definitely going to be sending more acceptances in the next few days if they haven't already.poe wrote:Couldn't part of that just be that Columbia is using a slower method for notifying people?
