I dunno, we were ranked in the top 10 in 2001 when we went to the Seattle Bowl and we went to the Rose Bowl in the 98-99 season, so we were probably pretty highly ranked then.Kronk wrote:When was the last time Stanford was ranked in the top five in football, again? *begin battle of recent obscurity*crackberry wrote:True. Edit: I should also add that if our players weren't rapists, we'd probably still be perennially far better than Stanford.

which maryland gets to if everything goes by seed. it's not bold to put a team where their seed is expected to take them. i mean, i'm not big on maryland at all and i still have them in the sweet sixteen. bold would be to put them into the elite eight over kansasBioEBear2010 wrote: But yes, Vasquez is a beast. Bold isn't quite the right word here...I'm thinking more ludicrous.Lmao Zedong wrote:which maryland gets to if everything goes by seed. it's not bold to put a team where their seed is expected to take them. i mean, i'm not big on maryland at all and i still have them in the sweet sixteen. bold would be to put them into the elite eight over kansasBioEBear2010 wrote: But yes, Vasquez is a beast. Dude, Michigan State isn't going to lose to Maryland. Kalin Lucas is every bit the college superstar that Vasquez is.

Re: Yale 2010
I don't know if we were Top 10 at the end of the season (or at the end of the regular season) but we were definitely as high as No. 9 in the country that year. And I think we were third in the Pac-10. Back in those days, third in the Pac-10 = Seattle Bowl.adameus wrote:top 10 and went to the seattle bowl?crackberry wrote:I dunno, we were ranked in the top 10 in 2001 when we went to the Seattle Bowl and we went to the Rose Bowl in the 98-99 season, so we were probably pretty highly ranked then.Kronk wrote:When was the last time Stanford was ranked in the top five in football, again?

In any event, you're all wrong: Pitt over 'Cuse and into the Final Four, and OSU beats Kansas in the Elite Eight as well. SD State, Siena and UTEP win at least a game.

Similarly rooting for Siena. Also hoping that Cornell can pull an upset and Richmond can make it pretty far (spiders!).Kretzy wrote:In any event, you're all wrong: Pitt over 'Cuse and into the Final Four, and OSU beats Kansas in the Elite Eight as well. SD State, Siena and UTEP win at least a game.
Rock Chalk wins it all, though. Them or Cal

Hmm, "whiskey tasting," is that what the kids are calling it these days? Whatever happened to "binge drinking"?Kretzy wrote:Mid-afternoon whiskey tastings do something to the mind...ConMan345 wrote:ME. TOO.BioEBear2010 wrote:Damn. Regular "binge drinking" of fine whiskey would set you back more than law school tuition.ConMan345 wrote:

Absolutely. WhiskeyGuy and I have tentative plans to start a whiskey group at SLS next year. Right now, Stranahan's 10 year (from here in CO), though I was doing a small-batch bourbon tasting today: Eagle Rare, Buffalo Trace, Booker's etc. in their special batches. Good stuff.Dignan wrote:You're into whisky, Kretzy? What are you drinking this afternoon?Kretzy wrote: Mid-afternoon whiskey tastings do something to the mind...

I'm a tequila man myself. My boss has broken out the Don Julio 1942 to celebrate some case victories. Oh, oh so good. It's like honey.Dignan wrote:Regular "binge drinking" of fine whiskey would set you back more than law school tuition.ConMan345 wrote:
