i imagine it would be more an issue with the committee than the JR1 though.. i mean, it's so brief and you don't touch on very much, and the JR1 also comes before the general committee review (i think)... still, i'm inclined to doubt TLSers would fall into that group, i'm sure your JR2s are on the way

About the 30 percent of JR1's who dont get JR2's- what are their stats like. Are they borderline applicants who may be placed on hold until the cycle is almost finished? Or are they also "lock ins" who for whatever reason just dont get JR2?

I got my JR2 on 11/23 and don't think I've received my letter yet (I was overseas until this week, and don't think an envelope has arrived at my school or home address). To others in the first batch of JR2's--have you all gotten your letters? Should I e-mail admissions and ask for my login, etc.?

I can't really speak for others, but I had an early JR1 (11/03), but no JR2 yet. Stats: 4.0/170 & fairly strong softs - I guess you can totally consider me borderline.

But I wrote the LSAT again yesterday...hopefully, it will get me in with a higher score.

guys, can i make a polite request? crackberry mentioned this earlier, but i think those of us who are still hoping to get in would prefer if talk in this thread remained about that sort of thing, rather than about already-admitted type stuff. the admits have two threads already, and i think a bunch of people in this one will get a bit bummed out by talk among people already admitted, even if it's really basic logistical stuff like this

Doesn't really ask either question, just sticks to his 3 ones of: "what are you doing right now in college/work?", "why do u want to go to LS?", and "why HLS specifically?"

Doesn't really ask either question, just sticks to his 3 ones of: "what are you doing right now in college/work?", "why do u want to go to LS?", and "why HLS specifically?"

This comment is true, but he did ask about a specific psychology internship listed on my application and resume as my sole "job" or extracurricular activity. Since many applicants probably had substantial professional experience, I suppose that you could consider this question an attempt to address a perceived weakness.

I submitted a week later and have yet to go UR according to the status checker. I'm hoping more for movement of any kind than for my own JR1 (although it would be nice )

I'm in that batch, although me not getting a JR1 wouldn't really mean anything. Nevertheless, I wonder how long I can survive on USS Optimism...

First batch was about 3 weeks ago and I assume a lot of URMs submit over Thanksgiving break. I just figure we're due for another one. Also, I'll be hearing back from my ED in the next two weeks, so I'm hoping to get a JR1 email before then so I can switch that app to RD.

Cool, I didn't think that you could switch it after submission.
