Nope, they just started coming out on Sunday for some people in the first few waves of acceptances.lauren22 wrote: Wait, the financial aid offers don't come out at the same time? Or am I missing something?

I think you might be correct. At the very least, its good we haven't been rejected yet

Just got an email saying that I won't be receiving need-based aid, which I expected based on my parents' finances (even though they won't be contributing). Seemed to indicate that I may still hear back later in the month about merit-based aid. Anyone else get this email?

Got an email from Berk financial aid today. Andddddd it was to tell me that I didn't get need based aid. I kinda knew that (being merely somewhat poor is not enough and I knew that), but why the hell couldn't they let me know about my merit aid? The email specifically mentioned that merit aid "Notification typically takes place in late March and continues on a rolling basis thereafter." if that is the case for me, my seat deposit will be placed elsewhere before I get a chance to visit the school

Know a friend who already received his. Says the offer included both merit and need based.Keilz wrote:ppl who got scholarships - did they say merit based, or did you receive a Berkeley Law grant?

So I checked last year's LSN, only 2 people reported admitted after March 1st....
How many more acceptances do you think will come out from Berkeley?

So, those low scholarship offers are based on need and your merit (I think), but they are not the same thing as the merit-based scholarships. I was wondering why they were so low.

Probably still quite a few. Last year there were acceptance waves every three days or so throughout Feb. This year there were basically no acceptances between 2/6 and 2/23.pipipipi wrote:So I checked last year's LSN, only 2 people reported admitted after March 1st....
How many more acceptances do you think will come out from Berkeley?

Just got credentials for CalNet to RSVP for ASW. Kind of frustrated to see that it's only two weeks away, I'll have to take two days off work, that I'll only be reimbursed if I fly from LA (which, at this point, is going to be more than $150), and that I'll still need to figure out lodging for at least 2 nights.
Is it worth it for me to go through all of this to attend? I really am undecided. (Berkeley is probably my top choice, but I'm not expecting to get much of a scholarship.)

That's how most schools are, especially ones who only have one ASD. Majority of them are not on weekends. I had to take off two days of work which is gonna suckbigyellowjoint wrote:Just got credentials for CalNet to RSVP for ASW. Yeah, I am taking 2 days off for Berkeley's, and then in order to visit all my other top choices in the most efficient way possible, I have to take 7 days off of workKeilz wrote:That's how most schools are, especially ones who only have one ASD.
