In via PT this Friday afternoon! This was the first law school to get back to me, hopefully more to come!

Unrelated but....did anyone else here do Duke TIP? I loved it in junior high. 2 of my favorite summers.

Did y'all also get the normal scholarship information email? And do y'all have great softs or just great numbers?
From last years thread it looks to be about ten nominees IIRC but you may want to go back through there for more information!

Also got the Mordecai notification today! I applied PT in late October. Does anyone know how many of the nominees actually end up getting offered the scholarship?

If this helps anyone, I also got the standard scholarship application email - the Mordecai email came in about two hours after that.

I did TIP, too! Once at Duke East Campus and once through one of their abroad programs. Also, accepted to Duke two weeks ago through early decision, so I am done with the application process woo hoooo! See y'all in Durham!

Just got put on Priority Reserve... I don't know how to feel about that.

My stats are 3.99/168 but I didn't write a Why Duke or anything Duke-related in my application, plus I have some C&F issues.

Same thing exactly with me Friday. Higher numbers but no why duke and c&f so priority reserve. C&f issues are killer methinks.

Sooo does Duke give out close to full rides through the Dean scholarships? No Mordecai invite which kind of surprises me given my stats but my softs are average. Love Duke but really need a lot of money to afford it.

It didn't seem to cause a problem with other schools but it's also one of the only schools that ask a Dean's letter before an acceptance.

I just sent a sort of Why Duke and LOCI combined and the Dean answered with what seemed a lot of enthusiasm, so maybe that was also a reason...

Did you send it directly to the dean? I also got PR about a week ago and wasn't sure who to send my why duke/loci to...ended up sending it to the email on their website.

My bad, it was actually the Associate Dean, Bill Hoye. It was probably just courtesy though: I just consider waitlists as rejections...

Checking in after lurking for a while, I was admitted a while back via PT. Anyone have info on the amount of $ offered through the Dean scholarships? I'm pretty sold on another school but a decent scholarship would definitely make me give Duke another look.

You can look at lawschoolnumbers. There is a range for their non mordecai scholarships but it's not "close to full rides" if I recall correctly. I wanna say it goes up to 90k...but I'm sure there are more specifics on lsn.

do you have to fill out the scholarship application before you can get a mordecai invite? I am waiting for the finicial aid application to open.

Mordecai invites have previously gone out beforehand (and I think have already gone out) so if you didn't get one then I don't think you're getting one.

Yes. I got mine a week and a half or so after I got the acceptance. I use the lanyard lol it's oggle worthy.
