Do rejections get an email as well, so are you only notified via status checker?

I'm pretty sure rejections don't get an email. At least I didn't. Got dinged on the status checker and a letter in the mail.

In an interview, I believe Dean Z said that rejections get snail mailed.

Sorry if this is dumb, but how do Darrow invites work? Do you have to apply before December to be considered? What happens if somebody who is offered a Darrow decides to attend a different school? Do they look for new Darrow recipients or does the money just go back into a general pool in the form of another scholarship?
