Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
Part of the reason probably is they're trying to encourage people to withdraw/select for those who actually wanna go to NU.pushsum123 wrote:You have to write essays if you get 'held?' Considering that I'm 1 point below LSAT median and .1 below GPA median, the fact that they haven't outright denied or WL'd me (or the ever dreaded held) gives me hope. Submitted 11/3, interviewed 11/24, and complete since 12/5. Maybe they are truly, really being "holistic." Maybe this is a good sign for me? I'm still anxious to know, nevertheless!

I feel like that's a bad idea though. I was excited about NU before this BS, but when you are comparing ~10 incredibly similar schools (jobs and cost wise) little things like the admissions people not being THE WORST starts to become a differentiating factor.

Would you take a full ride at NU over your Harvard option?fra wrote:I think that you are probably right.Dipper wrote:Part of the reason probably is they're trying to encourage people to withdraw/select for those who actually wanna go to NU.pushsum123 wrote:You have to write essays if you get 'held?' tbh if they wanted to really learn about me as a person, they could just have me send in a screenshot of my netflix suggestions and a photo of my cupboard of snacks. idk what they can glean about me as a person from what I think people should dislike about attorneys, but obviously I'll still do it

This is surprisingly a great way to learn a lot about a person...tk17 wrote:Ha!!idissent wrote:tbh if they wanted to really learn about me as a person, they could just have me send in a screenshot of my netflix suggestions and a photo of my cupboard of snacks.

Dinged after WL last year. Second time it happened (Texas being the other). Oomph. Oh well, NU is an awesome school and congrats to anyone who gets in. I would've loved to be there.

Dang, no decision for me either. Complete in fall, last date change in Jan. My new avatar sums up my feelings. For those also stuck in limbo, do you guys think we still have a chance? It's getting mighty late in the cycle...
Hugs and jager shots for all those who got dinged/held.

Admit, duh. Look at those well-groomed brows.Gray wrote:guys based solely on this screengrab of my hold response video, what do you think, admit or deny?
I thought the books in the background would say "I know how to read" and the OCI outfit would say "I know what OCI is."
