So how about that law school? Anyone know how exactly the travel award's from the admissions office work? I received an email about one a little over a week ago, and I haven't gotten a response yet from when I emailed them requesting details.

It's always awkwardly hilarious when your internet drama and real life worlds collide. In my experience the mean people generally just keep their mean thoughts to themselves. If you're gonna bully you either need anonymity, physical superiority, or popular support.

Admissions has certain medians they want to hit and a certain number of seats to hit them. If your numbers are borderline, it stands to reason they could set aside your app until they have a little more of a sense of what numbers they need more of. You wouldn't be "held" in the technical sense, but really you might as well be.
