Whoa 53 slots is a lot - I'd imagine we'll see a big wave once the office opens again.

I haven't had an interview yet, but from what I've heard it's very conversational - know why law and why Harvard. Congrats on the JS1!Becca003 wrote:Late but I got my js1 Christmas Eve day! I'll have my interview jan. 6th!

Last cycle (from LSN), the first JS2 wave after the New Year came on January 23rd. Also the first wave of rejections
came on January 17th. Don't know about the first JS1 wave though.

They seem to have substantially strayed from trends in the past years so lets hope that that translates to JS2s and JS1 invites this weekpylon wrote:Last cycle (from LSN), the first JS2 wave after the New Year came on January 23rd. It was surprising to see the January 17th rejection wave though. Didn't realize we were creeping up to that point in the cycle so soon.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Yeah, because of the long break the school took, I wouldn't expect any offers (JS1 or JS2) until next week or so so that they get everything sorted... Plus they have to conduct the JS1s invited just before the Christmas breakpsychmusic wrote:I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't any real movement today. Another school I emailed who took the same break had an auto-response essentially saying "Don't expect us to respond within a week, we'll be digging out of the accumulated Christmas-vacation junk until 1/12."

Sounds reasonable. Are there stats on the December lsat score out there?musedreverie wrote:Yeah, because of the long break the school took, I wouldn't expect any offers (JS1 or JS2) until next week or so so that they get everything sorted... Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
IIRC there was another batch of JS1 slots available for next week, implying that we would see a JS1 wave this week. But it also makes sense that they'll need to catch up from the break first.musedreverie wrote:Yeah, because of the long break the school took, I wouldn't expect any offers (JS1 or JS2) until next week or so so that they get everything sorted... It seems like the turnaround between interviewing and acceptance is going to be considerably longer this cycle. Is that a fair assumption?

Hopeful for some movement by Friday, but next week seems more likely.

seems weird that we would have to wait so long. seems like other schools have shown some movement this week.

Had an interview today - I was a little surprised, but it went well. I love Harvard's style. Feel free to PM if you want any insights into the process.

I know this cycle is different from last, but that sea of red from the graphs in the OP for decisions in Jan, Feb, Mar, and April are starting to scare me...

Move all the greens from November and most of the ones from December into those months though, and it looks much friendlierpylon wrote:I know this cycle is different from last, but that sea of red from the graphs in the OP for decisions in Jan, Feb, Mar, and April are starting to scare me...

I know this has probably been covered before (Sorry!) but how long does it usually take to go from complete to receiving JS1?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
It really depends. There are some people who wait a few months, and some who wait less than a week. However, I believe the most recent complete date to receive a JS1 on the Dec 24th wave was around Dec 8th - 12th.LSCHI wrote:I know this has probably been covered before (Sorry!) but how long does it usually take to go from complete to receiving JS1?

I found some of the questions subtle and intriguing. Largely the interview seemed like a test of your ability to communicate/socialize. But it definitely seemed like she was clarifying perceived weaknesses in my app as well.Kobaine51 wrote:Had an interview today - I was a little surprised, but it went well. I love Harvard's style. Really wish we knew more about the faculty review process/timeline.
