Sounds reasonable. Have you started negotiating yet?Leo wrote: Bummer, I was really hoping for a full ride plus $850,000 stipend.

EDIT: This sounds mean. I meant it to be more self-defacing for my not actually reading the article than anything else.

That's what you get for not rooting through your friends' financial documents. I know for a fact every one of my friends is dirt poor, and that one is secretly pregnant. He hasn't even told his family yet.snapdragon25 wrote:Whoaaa I know David Savner! Didn't know he had an extra mil lying around.yossarian71 wrote:Hopefully some of us will be seeing that $1M donation. Maybe this is SUPER specific or too much to ask, but for the admits...
What was the order of events? Did you check your status tracker, then get an email about DLA, then check the DLS? and then later get an email with your DLS in it? Or was it email --> DLA --> email --> DLS?
I just want to know what to check/prepare myself for.
Also, when you did get an email (DLA and/or accept/deny/waitlist), what did it start with? I want to really be ready for the first few words of my email...
Most likely I'll have someone else read it for me since I'll be scared shitless.

I think mine actually just went from complete to admit email, with nothing in between. The admit email subject was something like You've Been Admitted to Northwestern, so hopefully you won't even need to have someone else read it.leigh912198972 wrote:Maybe this is SUPER specific or too much to ask, but for the admits...

What was weird was that the next day, the status checker changed, and then a day after that I got an email saying a decision had been reached.

I saw on TLS that Johann tweeted about decisions, so I went to the status checker and it gave DLA. Went to the DLS and retrieved my letter (in PDF), that started with "Congratulations..."leigh912198972 wrote:Maybe this is SUPER specific or too much to ask, but for the admits...

Maybe 20-30 mins later I got an email telling me DLA.
An hour or two later I got an admitted students email from the financial aid office.

The DLA email just said:
"Dear Ricky-Bobby,
The Admissions Committee has completed its review of your application for Admission. To view your decision, which will be available after 6 pm, please login to our Status Check webpage.
Please note that your decision letter will not be mail.
Regards,
The Admissions Committee"
I received that at 4:41 PM.
The second email's subject was "Congratulations on your admission to Northwestern Law!"
I received it at 5:37 PM.

by the looks of his tweet, waitlists are coming out today.
Big batch of decisions. For those scoring at home, admit & deny were released previously. Who's next? http://youtu.be/FYnuBwCCwZc

Is it a bad sign for my status checker to still be on my first complete date (late Sept)? Is anyone else in this boat?
Didn't interview with an alum due to my location...but did write a why Northwestern.
