Today is the end of the second week that I've been on RD UR2. Hoping for some news today. Preferably good news.
Although, it is clear that "close-of-business" and "weekend" has no meaning to Duke adcoms, as they seemingly work around the clock. So I suppose shouldn't hold my breath.

Good luck. I thought the normal time from UR2 -> Decision was closer to week, so this is kind of discouraging (I'm UR2 2/14).SplitMyPants wrote:Today is the end of the second week that I've been on RD UR2. Hoping for some news today. Preferably good news.

Re: Duke c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
So did I, which is why I'm really hoping for something today. However, it seems to vary. Most of the RD people ITT who have heard back appear to have waited about 7-10 days. However, there also appears to be others that haven't heard back, but we don't see their dates as much, as they have little reason to report them if they haven't heard a decision yet.vuthy wrote:Good luck. Anyone have an average for UR1 --> UR2. Does it always go to UR2 before a decision?

wait, is that shocking??
I applied really early in October, went complete pretty quickly and under UR1 pretty quickly, but I've been under UR2 since... must've been like early november. I went from UR1 to UR2 pretty quickly, and then I was stuck at UR2 in early november for a LONG time, and then since maybe mid-january I've had probably 7-8 date changes.
I thought this was normal...

Re: Duke c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
I hadn't been keeping up with the dates (b/c PT screws up everything) until I got my UR2 this month. And what little data I had gleaned from the past few weeks suggested a time-frame on the order of a week or two. Although, I realize now that this is not the general case.sandwich wrote:SplitMyPants wrote:Thanks for this.Dburke wrote:UR2 since 2/3...

ETA: However, now that PT is over, I could see it start being closer to reality. Let's hope anyways. This has been a long wait.

Re: Duke c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 Cycle)
In looking through the c/o 2016 thread, it seems like there were a couple of big decision days in mid- and late-February. Overall, seemed more consolidated in terms of decision waves than we've seen so far this year, which seem very scattered.SplitMyPants wrote:I hadn't been keeping up with the dates (b/c PT screws up everything) until I got my UR2 this month. I guess I should add, I'm INCREDIBLY fine with the wait. I honestly thought I was an auto-reject, so it's nice that I'm looking at being a more thought-out reject rather than having them just open my app and laugh and reject it right away.
Gives me the fuzzies to pretend that I might be in the running for a little bit

Just thought I'd check in here. I applied via PT on 2/10 and was placed on the PR list last night. Not the best, but about what I expected. I'll be sending my LOCI this afternoon...

I didn't, but it's kind of inherent in my PS. Hard to explain, but got signals that it was okay to leave it that way.Nonconsecutive wrote:Did you write a Why Duke? Yep, 170/3.79 UR2 2/7, got the email: WL'd "Priority Reserve"...
I wish schools would quit being so cryptic/pompous about their waitlist "levels".
