How long after you all were admitted did you hear about financial aid?

It's not malicious. That's crazy talk. I bet a lot of us are on the bubble, and they need to take a closer look at those of us left... and that takes time. Some of us will end of being like Virginia Tech and some us will be like Wichita State.

On LSN the only responses people in that date range have had are dings. The admit closest to that range is edamame, who submitted her app on 2/05. (Correct me if I'm wrong, anyone..)

And az is definitely one of them. I'm with ya though, I just have wanted YLS so badly, for so long, that it's hard to make a choice when there's still that fool's hope I could get a call. But HS are both amazing schools. I'm telling myself that, at least.

But we always knew people with our numbers get in, that was never in question. It's the rest of the app that the decision will hinge on. If I give myself an honest assessment, I know that's where I fall short.

im insanely super pumped about my options. thats why i just want to make a decision and be done with it lol. but whatevz. i suspect many ppl here feel the same, but a few have truly had their heart set on yale for years now. mixed bag and thats fine

Didn't mean to be! Just (less than eloquently) admitting that we all have amazing options, and I'm super excited about the options i have! I just am having a tough time making a decision with silence from yale hanging over my head. If i'm not getting in, I'd rather have my PFO sooner, rather than later....

It'll be over by the financial aid deadline if it's rigid. My dad hasn't even sniffed his tax forms, so I'm SOL. I can't put into words how frustrating it is to have incredibly irresponsible parents.

Meh, if it fits with the rest of your application, then it probably just comes across as genuine, your voice. My guess is that's why they leave it so open ended...

Mine had to be the worst. I caught a grammatical mistake in it a couple weeks later. I was so burnt out by the time I submitted Yale, I definitely did not put my best foot forward.
