Got accepted about 2 weeks ago and no scholly yet. I emailed them and they said they would make decisions this month sometime. Guessing the will start sending out more $$$ after people start declining. You could always try and negotiate with them tooRawlberto wrote:Got accepted a week ago and have not heard anything about scholarship. Am I SOL?

Anyone else get invited to the happy hour "Chicago City Connect" and planning on going? It says "local attorneys, alumni, and students welcome". Does anyone think that includes prospective students or did I just get the invite by mistake?

Got it. Thinking about going, but I think I'd have to move a few (money-paying) commitments around and not sure if it's worth it. I've heard Epic is pretty sweet though, so I'm enticed.h4bs wrote:Anyone else get invited to the happy hour "Chicago City Connect" and planning on going? The URM thing makes it a wildcard obviously but I'd expect you to get some sort of scholarship, probably 60k if I had to just throw out a number.Rawlberto wrote:167/3.3/URM, you can guess which by the tar.2014 wrote:What are your numbers?Rawlberto wrote:Got accepted a week ago and have not heard anything about scholarship. Honestly who cares about the slight ranking drop, but more importantly- Graduates known to be employed nine months after graduation: 80.7%. wowzers.
EDIT: Reading more about the new rules and WUSTL supposedly being the only school who actually followed them.

With all the money WUSTL has been doling out this cycle, I think it has a good chance at bouncing back next year

I guess I'll throw in here. I got accepted a while back and got a good amount of money. Right now it's the highest ranked school I've been accepted too and it's given me the most money. I'm not sure my decision could be any easier right now.
ftr, I have 170/170/2.88

BK: could you please post links as to where you're reading this regarding the new rules and WUSTL? I saw the rankings a minute ago and my jaw dropped.BKCentral wrote:Honestly who cares about the slight ranking drop, but more importantly- Graduates known to be employed nine months after graduation: 80.7%. wowzers.

I was admitted to ASU and they jumped from 39 to 26 between last year and this year--and needless to say, my decision just got a whole lot more difficult!!!

Using the USNWR rankings to make a decision on a school is just downright silly, if not stupid.jdhopefully wrote:BK: could you please post links as to where you're reading this regarding the new rules and WUSTL? It was just through this thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=600
Wasn't really able to find any hard evidence backing it up besides taking these people's words for granted. You'll have to sift through to find the 3-4 people arguing about WUSTL.

This. Although the employment #s are actually one of the only important parts, imo.stillwater wrote:

Right, but not the employment data given by the schools or the bullshit numbers floated for the purposes of USNWR.BKCentral wrote:It was just through this thread: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... &start=600

Not sure if srs. But in case you are, it stems from an announcement the dean made. And also from a meeting Romo had with him that seemed mostly to be about the same things he said in the courtyard.jdhopefully wrote:BK: could you please post links as to where you're reading this regarding the new rules and WUSTL?
