Does anybody have suggestions for tackling the financial aid essays? One of them seems to suggest you should sell yourself as a candidate and an impoverished student.

Haha, yeah mine are weird and strangely organized. Paragraph one: I am so awesome and this is why. Paragraph two: Despite my awesomeness, I am poor. Give me $?

My brother's suggestion was to write "IZ POOR, CAN HAZ MONEYZ?" 100 times over. That gets you to the 500 word limit really comfortably.

Also, I would like to note that the people who were held at NU get to write essays about their perfect day and what they think of social media. Why are our essay topics so much crappier? I could've had a lot of fun with a Facebook essay.

I just realized they sent me a fee waiver on friday today, semt that app in today beat the deadline whew! I guess I can hope to hear from them in may!

i think this is just to accomodate those with on campus interviews. may not apply to all.

yesterday was 11 weeks since Dec 1 for me. normally I would be hoping for decision, but Berkeley committee decision will come today... not sure if I can handle two in a day!

My request to defer to 2012 was accepted today, so hopefully someone on the hold/WL gets my spot in this fall's class!
