Anyone want to guess when we'll see some WL movement?

I think the question is..... if they even decide to go to the waitlist. In some years its been few to nonexistent.

yes it would. and judging by purely what I can gather from TLS profiles of people that have gotten WLed, UNC would have to go pretty deep into the waitlist to get to me.

I am in the same situation. I will most likely be moving out of state for school, but if any of the three schools I'm waitlisted at admit me, I highly doubt I'd think twice about going. It's definitely going to suck because I like to have things all planned out way in advance but it would be worth it for me.

Any other WLers do the July deadline? I don't see how UNC can expect me to put my life on hold jic they decide to take me on August 24th. If I don't get in off the WL at UNC, I've already put my deposit down elsewhere and will have already moved in come August. I'm not letting them drag me on all that time. If by July they still don't want me, then just put me out of my misery.

I'm pretty sure that class would be full by around July anyway unless someone freaks out and backs out totally last minute.

Are you annoyed at UNC? All schools do this.

i'm not holding my breath on this waitlist, but i will keep my fingers crossed, as it is safer to keep your fingers crossed than to hold your breath.

i have put down a deposit at FSU and am planning on moving down in early august. however, i have until may 25th to put a deposit down at maryland if i wanted to go there so i have to make that decision first. either way i have family in NC which would make it possible for me to get to NC almost down to the last minute.

After looking at the LSN stats it really does look like they ran out of time and just WL'd everyone that they were on the fence about.

I think it was the 3.06. My overall opinion about UNC is that they care a little more about GPA than LSAT. Obviously someone will have anecdotal evidence for or against that, it's just kind of an overall trend I've been noticing ITT.

You should, mainly because they could have misplaced your app, or something else could have happened. You filled out the residency application, right?

Yeah, I sent them an email about a month ago to make sure my app wasn't missing anything. They assured me that it wasn't and that I would have a decision by May 1st.
