Any guess as to whether an UR 11/29 like myself can expect to be included in the next wave?

Yeah, looking through last year's thread, it seems like MLK Day was a (relatively) big acceptance day. Hopefully the place livens up with some excitement tomorrow.starrydreamz3 wrote:Hold on to your hats kids, tomorrow's the big day!

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Last year's thread seemed to only have JR2's on MLK Day, but our Friday 2 days ago was also a lot quieter than last year's, so maybe some JR1's will happen tomorrow, too. Have you been held yet? I was, so I do not have that much hope for anything soon. Also, for these numbers, I have not looked at LSN.starrydreamz3 wrote:And for new JR1 emails? I tried to channel my inner dulcatis and go back to analyze the thread. Most of the JR1 emails from the thread that occurred in the second half of January were for submitters in December into early January. Most were at least 3.7-8+, 174-5+. A few 171's snuck in with 4.0+ LSDAS GPAs. Sorry I don't have the Excel sheet to back this upcardinals1989 wrote:Last year's thread seemed to only have JR2's on MLK Day, but our Friday 2 days ago was also a lot quieter than last year's, so maybe some JR1's will happen tomorrow, too. Also--most activity seemed to be at the beginning/end of the week. And yes, there were a fair amount of holds/dings.

Haven't been held yet. It seemed like the Tuesday after MLK last year there were a lot of holds, so I'm assuming I'll get one around then.cardinals1989 wrote:Last year's thread seemed to only have JR2's on MLK Day, but our Friday 2 days ago was also a lot quieter than last year's, so maybe some JR1's will happen tomorrow, too. I'd like to submit an additional short statement. Do you think this is a bad idea? I just think my first DS wasn't very descriptive, and this is significantly better.
Also, can I email it?

I guess it won't hurt. Snail mail only, no received acknowledgement.

Looks like today is not the day either. It is almost over in my hysteria induced alternative space-time continuum.

HLS = open for MLK, yes? No mail today though so they won't get anything from me, sigh.

HLS admissions office is on holidays today. Just had a package that couldn't be delivered because of it.

Is that a result of HLS being on holidays or postal service being on holidays?CastleRock wrote:HLS admissions office is on holidays today. Just had a package that couldn't be delivered because of it.
Asking since people told there were JR2s on MLK last year.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
This is my question as well. I know other schools like CLS are on vacation. Looking at the HLS academic calendar, today is a holiday for "all university students," making it likely that the admissions office is closed too. Unless they are just THAT dedicated.nullisecundus wrote:Is that a result of HLS being on holidays or postal service being on holidays?CastleRock wrote:HLS admissions office is on holidays today. Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Hey all,
Apparently from what you all are saying, many people went "complete" after they received JR1. Does this mean they never even heard back from HLS since the time of submitting their application - JR1 - completion notification?
And if I applied last week, does anyone know when I might hear back with any decision at all?
Thanks!

just a general question for all law schools, but do most people send updated fall grades to all the schools they applied to but haven't heard back from yet?

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
