Dude, so weird. We're the 163/164 clan. I didn't think I was going to get into Fordham at all so I booked a trip to South Beach that weekend to make myself feel better. You ladies are all from NYC, though, right? We should do a happy hour. Drink away the pain of our shitty LSATs and toast ourselves for still getting in regardless.

Really? You guys got in with a 164 LSAT? I never applied because of the TLS advice that I would have no chance with that same score.
Congratulations!

Sounds good, but Gotti is not from NYC but I'm pretty sure she's moving here. Yes, yes, I'm Gotti's e-stalker.adevotchka wrote:Dude, so weird. We're the 163/164 clan. Take TLS' advice with a grain of salt. Especially since most of the people here are 0L's and therefore usually have no idea what they're saying.Spookyghost wrote:Really? You guys got in with a 164 LSAT? I never applied because of the TLS advice that I would have no chance with that same score.

For what it's worth, multiple users told me I'd get rejected from Fordham (someone told me I'd get in PT off the waitlist), Emory, and BU (I'm waitlisted there, but might have gotten in if I applied earlier in the cycle).Spookyghost wrote:Really? Numbers aren't everything and people here can be brutal. You'll never know if you don't at least try.

yea, i was shocked to get in with a 165/3.53+1 Totally agree. You should definetely not let someone from TLS convince you not to apply because although they may know a lot about the process, most of them are still 0L's. And numbers are certainly not everything.

Is a late app doomed for the waitlist? I applied 2/1, 167/3.5x... I reallllly want this. I was being cheap when I submitted my first round of apps back in November, but Fordham just continued to linger in my mind.

165 seems to be Fordham's magic number for some reason. No one (well, non URM at least) under 165 got any money from them whatsoever. I was told my LSAT was too low.Stringer6 wrote:yea, i was shocked to get in with a 165/3.53+1 Totally agree. Speaking of money, I emailed them on Thursday and have yet to hear back. I hope I didn't scare them away.
I asked them for a phone or in person appointment to talk to them about financial aid... and kinda mentioned the money I got from another school.

Hate to say this, but the fact that Fordham is notoriously stingy with aid makes me feel slightly better about paying sticker. I've seen people with great numbers get chump change from Fordham.

Re: Fordham 2011
Don't give up hope on FA. Write a nice email explaining your need, desire to come to Fordham, and why you will be a beneficial addition to the class. I am a PT student with OK numbers, but after talking to them, explaining my situation, and expressing my desire to come to Fordham I got almost 19k a year in aid (merit and need).
On the other hand, if you are just trying to pry some money out of them because you feel you are too good to pay sticker, then I suspect they will pass on helping you out.

I did. I got 10K/year

Exact same dates 1/10 and 3/8/2011 Complete. Still waiting for decision.ryokoyuy wrote:My application information was all in and accepted 1/10 and I'm still at Application Complete status, updated to 3/8/2011.
Checking the status everyday is starting to feel masochistic
Is it too early to write LOCI now without even being WLed?
Fordham website says it takes them 6-8 weeks to make decision. This is the 11th week. I have above medium F/T LSAT and above 75% GPA with 5 yr WE. Applied for evening.
Or should I just call them at this point?

Ahhh 167 3.14 from a very good undergrad got me accepted at Hofstra and Rejected at William and Mary, the latter of which I only applied to because of that damn fee waiver.aliarrow wrote:Is a late app doomed for the waitlist? I'm getting more worried by the day - I think it may be too late in the cycle to even get waitlisted at this point. I really hope they consider my softs which are very good.
But seriously unless your 3.5 is from a very weak school I think you'll be quite alright with those numbers, regardless of when in the cycle you applied.
