Visited today, and guys... wow. This place has the "it" factor and the campus is just breathtaking. Sneak peek:

the pics are great. but is it just me or does the campus look a bit like harvard's? now if someone can do the same thing at UT that would make my life very simple.

Maybe. I'm not familiar with Harvard's campus.

They do call Vandy the "Harvard of the South," though. I think Duke gets the same nickname.

I've only ever heard Duke referred to as the "Harvard of the South."

I'm a little confused now too. I distinctly remember watching this episode when it aired and thinking that it implied Emory. But of course maybe I interpreted the joke wrong? What other school could he be referring to? UT-Austin? I've never heard UT being referred to as the Harvard of the South.. But I did a quick search on Colbert's alma mater - it wasn't Emory.

Colbert went to Hampden-Sydney, which is really southern and bad ass, but not farther south than Vanderbilt. Hmmm

Thanks for the slide show Forza. Very nice. I really like the first picture - the city at night. And the inside of the what appears to be the law building - with the sun beaming through the windows - very dramatic...

The "V" doorhandles are kind of a fun touch!
I'm hoping to visit in the next few weeks... but it's nice to see what it looks like in the middle of winter (I am not a fan of snow). Thanks so much for posting these

If this helps, I took these photos as I was jogging around campus in a t-shirt and running shorts. It was somewhere around 60 degrees outside - absolutely perfect.

DM 3/5. My status hadnt changed since application complete 12/15/2009. Im anxious to get the letter! Where are you located? I have had terrible luck getting the mail from law schools delivered in a timely manner to central Illinois.

I'm in Boston. Unfortunately, the mail at my school is stopped for this week because we're on Spring Break. So, I won't know anything for at least a week.

South American isn't an ethnic distinction, but it is, perhaps, and interesting soft. Good luck!
