Thats is exactly what is giving me hope. I believe that most schools put URM's in its own pile, to be stacked up against each other, because so many URM applicants simply don't have the numbers to stack up to other applicants. They then compare the URM's to each other and pick out some of the top ones. And, while our stats may not be super high compared to the people on TLS, they are undoubtedly very high for most URM's applying to Georgetown.

Maybe the have a subset of auto-admit/reject numbers for URMs...Could be the first round for this?

not too sure about that...a person i know who was a URM with a 157/3.8 got in last year and he applied in MARCH...hardly auto-admit type

As of two minutes ago I am Application Under Review. My interview was yesterday afternoon.

Man, 11/30's were accepts, not liking being in the 12/1 round..

Curious, have most people who've been waiting a while gone dr today (that way I'd know its a cleansing)

DR today, 12/1. I'm applied to both PT/FT.

167/3.52

Based on everyone's stats so far, this is looking like the bottom of the bin. But who knows, I thought I stood a good shot at the PT program. Maybe some of you are correct and these are mixed rejections/PT acceptances?

It's unfortunate that you used the word 'cleansing' in a batch that at first glance appears to be URM-heavy.

I'm not a URM though... And my scores are 163/3.84. C'mon GPA, do me wonders!

URM theory is a good one, but might be just random correlation of lower numbers.

I don't realy know what to think, because there weren't any EDers really in yesterday's batch of DR. So maybe this is mixed? It definitely looks like there are at least some PT and URM acceptances though.

Oh, and also what I meant to say before is, I don't think the email necessarily comes right away; someone else got it four days after DR
