Total. If I got 55k a year that would certainly classify as fantastic amount of money lolSweetTort wrote:Per year or total?RParadela wrote:Not really. Got a $60k merit scholarship today to use on top of GI Bill, which was a very pleasant surprise. Financial aid committee is still working for those who are wondering. Admitted early/mid-November (can't remember exactly).

Are they going to classify it as a living stipend so you get to keep it? Also, how were you notified?WarriorPoet wrote:Got a $60k merit scholarship today to use on top of GI Bill, which was a very pleasant surprise. Yes, I called to clarify and they said they take that into account for vets so you don't just lose it (otherwise I was going to give it back). I was notified by a letter in the mail today; it's probably online too, but I haven't checked that.CenterFringe wrote:Are they going to classify it as a living stipend so you get to keep it? That's amazing! Getting paid 20k a year + housing to go to a T-10 school is awesome. Hopefully I'll hear something about scholarships soon.WarriorPoet wrote:Yes, I called to clarify and they said they take that into account for vets so you don't just lose it (otherwise I was going to give it back). Interview requested, which is nice I guess. I assumed they had forgotten about me. I applied Mid-November.

172/3.6. A lot of work experience and some good military-related softs. I wasn't really expecting anything, so it was a nice bonus on top of everything else. Good luck to you, but if you're nukes you're gonna kill it.NavyNuke wrote:That is awesome! Congrats. I didn't know uva did this for Vets. Do you mind posting your stats? I'm applying next cycle and uva is the dream.WarriorPoet wrote:Got a $60k merit scholarship today to use on top of GI Bill, which was a very pleasant surprise. Does everyone get a "curveball" question in the interview? I saw some asking for the worst day of their lives, etc. What have others' experiences been?

I think that was Chicago. That was a little more intense. But UVA seems to be the standard: why law, why uva, etc.ray.bee wrote:Does everyone get a "curveball" question in the interview? I saw some asking for the worst day of their lives, etc. What have others' experiences been?
