I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but has anyone who has interviewed not been accepted? The spreadsheet doesn't seem to show anyone getting denied at all thus far...

Those who have been interviewed and got in: did the person who interviewed you give any indication that you were in or give you a time frame?

I'm sure that others have commented on this, but I don't want to search through 70+ pages to find the answer.

My app has been under review since 11/4, so about a month. What is a normal turn-around time once we're under review? UVA is a bit of a reach school for me, but probably my number one choice so I'm just feeling anxious!

Me too, it has been UR since 11/12. The optimist in me is trying to convince myself that it's just because the bulk of the apps came in now, but the pessimist in me knows I should have heard something by now D:

Im in the same boat, under review since 11/3 or 11/4 and UVA is a big reach for me.

I think it just varies by applicant and isn't all that indicative of a successful interview or anything. I got in at the end of mine, others found out later that day, others a few days later, weeks later for some, others are still waiting. I think it is just all over the place. For what it's worth I didn't even think to ask, but I'm sure they wouldn't mind answering - though I doubt they'd give you much of substance other than the committee would have your app under review.

I was officially accepted during the Skype interview.
I was not, my interviewer said that she was "part of a three step process" and that I'd be "hearing from them soon." I was admitted about three hours later on the status checker.

Are people admitted without interviews? Or is it a prerequisite in most cases?

My understanding is that the 1st step is someone pulling your file out of the stack and requesting an interview. Seems like interviews are a requisite.

Though this seems to be the general trend, there have been several people this cycle who have been admitted without being asked to interview. Check the spreadsheet for confirmation.
