Well, I'm not that anonymous. I made no secret of my undergrad when I was admitted, lol. I wasn't intending to do so, but people in the Harvard thread were interested.d330 wrote:Me too. This assumes that all admitted students have facebook accounts. Not all do.pacifica wrote:4 admins and 2 current students in that group. 186 if you're super conservative, but I recall at least 4 deferred students outing themselves as such in various posts, so if you want to be super optimistic, assume all deferred students are in there and throw in ~20:edamame wrote:
FYI: Facebook group grew to 192 today. I would say that they've admitted 187 students to get a rough (but conservative) estimate on how admits are rolling in.
230-166=64 (roughly) spots still open. getting close...

Amen. I'll even buy a round of beers (or cider to the non-drinkers) after the first day of classes. And we should invite Asha.edgeofthenight wrote: I've outed myself to fellow TLS's I've met in person and am happy to do so over PM if YLS accepts me... please

Anonymity is overrated haha. Fortunately my initials are in my username and I was just added to the Facebook group today. Shouldn't be too difficult to figure outcarboncopyx wrote:Teehee. I'm certain GW is a brilliant candidate and has many stellar accomplishments -- worthy of asha's regard. However, 165/3.7 as a URM is within range (remember a 165 is still 90-91%ile), so its not all that shocking...hdivine wrote:165.. Ah I didn't factor in URM. I just remember the 25th percentile for Yale being 170 or 171.jbagelboy wrote:I'm certain GW is a brilliant candidate and has many stellar accomplishments -- worthy of asha's regard. Thanks guys - I had 3 very strong letters of recommendation, I honestly think they were the difference maker. That said I did some pretty awesome stuff over the last few years as an undergrad. I'm sure you all can say the same thing! Look forward to meeting you all soon!!

do you think they are still waiting on professor feedback? or just waiting to release decisions? I can't imagine why it's taking so long to send out a handful of emails.

At this point they just like being cruel/ taking their time. If they sat down for 24 hours they could finish this, but that would be too considerate.zara23 wrote:do you think they are still waiting on professor feedback? or just waiting to release decisions? It just seems like this year's process is way behind schedule. the deadline for financial aid is in 6 days. Why not just end it for their own sake. So weird to me...test wrote:At this point they just like being cruel/ taking their time. At best they are so in a bubble that they don't realize what this process looks like at this point from the outside. At worst they are being malicious. I say its somewhere in between.zara23 wrote:It just seems like this year's process is way behind schedule. the deadline for financial aid is in 6 days. Why not just end it for their own sake. It's not malicious. That's crazy talk. I bet a lot of us are on the bubble, and they need to take a closer look at those of us left... and that takes time. Some of us will end of being like Virginia Tech and some us will be like Wichita State.test wrote:At best they are so in a bubble that they don't realize what this process looks like at this point from the outside.
