UR2 today!

UR1 was 2/18. Does this mean a decision isn't far off? I saw that most people who got their decisions yesterday were UR2 on 2/26...is that kind of turnaround typical?

Same deal: UR1 on 2/18, UR2 today. Hoping for a quick decision!

It was sunny today in my hometown and we have not seen the sun in quite a while and I must admit that it made me rethink withdrawing from Duke's waitlist. The pamphlets they sent me over a year ago about how it is 65 degrees there right now certainly are making me wish Duke was a sold option...

Maybe not! I didn't write a why duke nor do I have any ties in the area. Also I don't get the difference between a priority reserve and a waitlist!?!? I thought people said Priority Reserve was for the Priority Track people?

Yeah I find it very confusing too. I'm surprised there's nothing on their website about it at all. It seems like some PR people do get in though.

I can't imagine ties really matter all that much. Looking at the LSN graph, it seems that 170 is a big hump - lots of 169/3.5+s waitlisted.

Yeah, that 170 is the magic number. Never has the difference of 1 number mattered so much in my life. Its crazy what the difference between a 170/3.7 and 169/3.7 can be in terms of acceptances and more significantly scholarships. Good Luck!

Credited. I Had a 169. Was Priority Reserve. Retook. Scored 170. Was admitted a week later with 67k scholly.

Nah, PT is completely separate from PR. PR is basically the preferred waitlist, from my understanding.

My interpretation is that Priority Reserve is more like a "Held" designation. Anyone else have any guesses?
