You got another update today? Or yesterday?
This is getting annoying.

Lucky for me, my waitlist makes for easy decisions (as in, I don't care if I'll get in, I'm not going)JCFindley wrote:I hope you're right but watch me get waitlisted so I can stress the entire summer..... ROFLMAOdingbat wrote: I expect you'll be showing up for class in August

I once was asked in an interview if I had any questions for them. My question was "when do I start?"JCFindley wrote:True story, I applied for a job once and didn't get an interview and showed up anyway.... I did end up getting the job. Just wondering if any of you guys plan on doing the Law Preview course at NYU. The package they sent out includes that it will be $100 cheaper for Fordham students, so curious if you guys think it will be worth while.

It seems to be TLS consensus that Law Preview is a rip off and waste of money. I was considering doing it to because some program I was in for undergrad gives a $500 discount, but I think it'd be better to just read GTM, do LEEWS, and maybe the Delaney's and LSC. Apparently the substantive prep that Law Preview gives is likely to become null by the 2nd week of classes.

About to start drafting my 2nd LOCI...tryna hand deliver it to admissions on Friday for my second visit. Anybody know how to say "PICK ME, I'D DO ANYTHING FOR YOU" in one page that isn't repetitive of what I already begged in my first LOCI? *sigh*

I couldn't imagine law preview being close to worth the money. I know a few people who did LEEWS and liked it. I bought GTM and read it on a plane the week before finals last semester. It's alright and I'd tentatively recommend it if you feel you need to do SOMETHING before LS. It won't really be helpful until you've started classes though and are closer to finals.PinkRevolver wrote:It seems to be TLS consensus that Law Preview is a rip off and waste of money. There are free workshops to help you with anything you could imagine once you start at Fordham (I didn't do any of them, but at least they're "free" (included in your tuition) so you have nothing extra to lose). Also, this is a program offered to students based on diversity, background, etc who Fordham decides may benefit from a pre-orientation, orientation:

A couple of my friends did it and enjoyed it. If nothing else its a great way to meet people a week earlier and socialize. I gladly attended the bar nights they planned that week. If you don't get selected, I believe you can email and request to be included, though I don't know how many spots they have available for that.
