I logged in..now I'm paranoid that that was an "illegal" action and something bad will happen!

But why would they give you access without giving you admissions...their systems can't be that messed up.

did you get in the first time you tried? or did you get an invalid username/password message?

Oh my bad..I just meant that they sent me the login info, but I couldn't actually log in. Sorry!

I propose the 11/18's stage a protest! (Figuring out the logistics of this will probably take a week at which point we will likely have our decisions. Nonetheless, it is an excellent way to burn time until the end of said week.)

Hello, new to the thread, long time lurker. I have a question for those who were rejected via email-- did the email come on the same day as the last status update, or on a subsequent day? If so, about how long after the last update did you receive your email? Thanks!

Went from 11/19->11/29 today. Hoping this means they've at least looked at my ap. If I just hear from one school I'll be so much more mellow about this whole shebang.

Obviously they care because it's a breach of ethics and integrity which are 2 pillars of law. I've heard of people getting dinged in the past for "hacking" into admit sites so it's probably a bad idea to try to log in before official acceptance.

This isn't hacking. This is just plugging in an e-mail address and last name and seeing if it works. I doubt that they have the time/energy to be checking and seeing who does and does not do this. To put a different spin on it, it could show that you are actually interested in the school, so if they do check and see you constantly checking, it could help you, especially if you didn't write a "Why X?" However, anything anyone posts about this obviously speculation (unless it's an admissions spy), and many people have been admitted who checked many times prior to acceptance and it did not affect anything.

As we've said before ITT, that wasn't law schools, and further, the site was the school's site - not a site for applicants. Entering your own information (last name/email) is completely different than getting login info that is not your own information from a third party to hack into a school's site. HTH.

Alright so based on the info in this case I'm wrong. Sorry for that. I think it's time to move on from this subject.

Anyway, just wait for a decision and relax because the time from now until first day of classes is gonna be one of the last times you can really enjoy life for a while. Whatever happens, happens and there are a lot of good schools out there.

11/10-> 11/23-> 11/29 here. I also just requested a user name/password and although I got an email, I was not able to log in... I highly doubt someone is watching to see if we're doing this, so hopefully there will be an acceptance letter in the mail for us soon

You're all on your third update, so you're definitely a lot closer to a decision. That's how it's been for a lot of us anyway.
