Has Virginia sent out rejections yet? I'm still stuck at:
Current Status: File Complete, Pending Review/Decision
Current Status Date: 11/9/2009

Anyone else share similar dates?

I'm also complete pending review/decision around mid-November.

I'm stuck at 10/26, and probably will be for a while

I've been there since 11/17. Out-of-state, 171, 3.65, 2 years relevant work experience.

The wait for any kind of update is really starting to grate on me...

Finally accepted via a "please call me regarding your application" e-mail from Mr. Dugas on Friday and subsequent call.

I was complete in September w/ a 164/4.0 and had a December LSAT retake of 170.

Now that I have been waitlisted and placed in the RD pool, I believe this is the correct forum for this question:

What are your thoughts on sending an email LOCI versus a letter via snail mail? The waitlist FAQ seems to lean on the side of email (i.e. Is there anything I can do to enhance my chances? E-mail us at lawadmit@virginia.edu. If the University of Virginia is your first choice and you would unhesitatingly accept an offer of admission, this is the time to let us know.). I just want to make sure I take the proper route when sending a LOCI. Thoughts?

Email it directly to Dugas (not Mahoney...) I am sorry... I meant dean of admissions not of the law school.

I got an e-mail from the Director of Admissions asking me to call him to discuss my application status. When I called he told me I was in! Very exciting start to the week. My numbers are 170/3.8 and I was complete as of 10/7 (it's been a looooong wait).

I'm stuck at 10/27 - yes to URM. UVA's kind of been off my radar because of their silence and the fact that it's a pretty massive reach. Oh well, we'll see.

Admitted today, just got off the phone with Dean Dugas. He's an extremely nice guy and I could tell he had really paid attention to my application for talking points. Love it! Out of state.

Sounds like movement is finally starting to happen. I've been trying to tell people to be patient and there will be more RD movement at the end of January! It's starting, the next couple weeks should be very exciting for many of you.

Why all this hate on Managamy? He is clearly just fucking with everyone and trying to get a rise out of people. I think his ridiculous antics make this board way more interesting. No one is that much of an ass in real life so I cannot believe this is really how he is. Every time someone is mad, he just ignores it. I don't think I have ever seen him say something mean or rude to anyone on this board... Want him to stop, just ignore his shit. If you don't, however, at least I will be entertained (and so will he).
